Just checking in...Im very busy this weekend with some church stuff friday and saturday and then Im off tothe city overnight on sunday-monday..going christmas shopping..cant wait!!
Weigh in was good this morning..down another 2.5..Im inching my way to my goal for christmas...
Not feeling so hot this morning..sore throat, and headache..there is a nasty type virus going around and I think I got it. Im gargling..I dont have time this weekend to be sick...

I don't think there is sodium free chicken stock here yet? I go over to New York once a month and do some shopping for stuff I can't get here. I do hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I love turkey but didn't have it, we had steak and salad.

We have quite a bit of snow from yesterday, and today the sun is shining and it is just beautiful here. (Cold but beautiful)

Thanks Sandra for the cookie recipe I am going to get all the stuff and make some over the weekend.

My daughter was going to go away to visit her friends at university this weekend but decided to stay home instead so the family is going to get out and do some Christmas shopping. Even though my kids are 16 & 18 they still like to hang out with us and do fun family things (I'd like to think its because they think dad and I are cool, but it's most likely that its because dad and I pay for everything!) However I am going to cherish these moments while I can no matter what their motivation is ;)

I hope everyone has run the 10k and shaken off all that great Thanksgiving dinner! I'm sure you all did the best you could and now the count down to Christmas dinner is on! I think that the sweets that are so prevalent around Christmas do more insidious damage than the actual turkey day! Put on your junk food armor girls!

We also had really cold weather. It was 20F when I got up this morning, but it's all the way up to freezing now.

Well, Patti has told us to behave while she's away, so I'll try to do that. But, Sunday is DH and my first wedding anniversary. (For those who don't know DH is Sandra's first cousin, and she was at our wedding last year. We had Thanksgiving at Golden Corral :rofl: at least we didn't have to cook all day!)

Anyway, DH and I are going to go out to a brunch at a local restaurant that is not fancy, but is owned by a well-know chef and the food is supposed to be delicious.

Lytricia, that's sweet about your kids. No doubt the money is a big draw, but if they didn't want to be with you, they wouldn't be!

Rhonda, doesn't seem like a whole year has passed, does it? I am so ready for you two to move back to Texas. Happy Anniversary to you both Suncay. Enjoy every minute of your special day.

Lytricia, those cookies are awesome. I froze half the recipe. If I hadn't there's no telling how many I might have eaten. They are that good.

Sandra, why not, for the heck of it, just put some sf/ff pudding packages in the mail and see what happens. Just try it with a few and send them regular post...they'll get here by spring!

Just checking in.
Not much happening here.
Dinner with brother in law yesterday went ok. But got too tempted by the mash potato's and had a tablespoon of those. And a small piece of sweet potato.
The only good thing about eating at someone elses place. Is no leftovers. But then it is nice to have some leftovers.
P.A. Hope you get to feeling better. My Dad isnt feeling very good either. Started out with a sore throat. And now sounds like he is getting a bad head cold. When he dont want to go anywhere. You know he dont feel good. He likes to run around.

TEJAS It is hard to go to someone elses house to eat when on core. I think it is. Cause they really dont have anything core to eat. I guess at the brother in law. Morning all:

I guess all the "Murricans" are in post-turkey slump today, looking at how many ways to make turkey soup and sandwiches!

I hope nobody went too crazy on "Black Friday" and spent all their money :yikes: Here, the big spending day is Boxing Day, the day after Christmas. I do NOT go near the shopping malls then. In fact, I've decided that I am not going shopping on Saturdays between now and the new year. Luckily, I don't have a lot of gifts to buy and can shop on other days. I know how lucky I am.

On to food....well, we're going out to a friend's house for dinner and a movie. It will be OK, she cooks in a healthy way. Not strictly Core, but not bad, either.

As you can see, I have nothing to talk about!!

TEJAS Didnt go shopping yesterday either. Didnt want to fight the crowd. Will pay the few extra dollars. And I am like you. Will go through the week. Go early in the mornings. Wont be so bad. Have a great time tonight.
Well I dont have much to say either. Not alot going on here.
Just trying to get the house cleaned up to put up the Christmas stuff. But not getting alot done. Need to just start working in one room. Not trying to do things in every room at the same time.

We only shopped long enough yesterday to buy a new TV. We were actually in and out in lessYou still have good willpower.

We just had our last Thanksgiving feast tonight. Whew! I'm tired of eating.

I will read all the posts and respond when I get time. I think Tuesday I have a free day. I should pencil in time to post...Crazy life we have. We have had so many friends from the past contact us and they are in our area and want to get together....strange I do say.

What a sweet offer Ann..we'll have to figure out how I get my address to you without posting it to all and sundry. I haven't figured out how to do the private message thing, but I'm sure it's not beyond me to do so.

DH and I went out for an anniversary brunch at a local eatery that we had not been to before. I really enjoyed my meal, but DH's wasn't as good as he was hoping for. Then we went book shopping and now he out like a light. Poor guy: the first year with me has just worn him out ;)
