Wow, Ann, that's a LOT of exercise. I wish I had even a tiny piece of your motivation. I can't run because of a nerve problem in my neck, but I do walk a lot.
We didn't get any snow, just a tiny flurry. It is now wet, rainy, dreary and cold. This kind of weather is more cold than true winter. Chills to the bone. Coco, I find that the zero point soup really, really helps me when I'm stuck or gaining. It's filling, good for you and easy to make. Just throw some frozen veggies in a pot with ff chicken stock and water, season it and enjoy.. OK, I have to go back to :comp: on more reports about what we can't do at work because we don't have any money :yikes: Rhonda |
Rhonda do you know if there is sucha thing in Canada as salt free chicken stock? I know there is reduced but im looking for salt free
|
Welcome everyone !! I see a fellow canuck has joined us as well...Im from northern ontario Ann where abouts are you from?
Im following YOAD its working for me. Its going slow but thats ok..I feel like Ive changed my eating habits for the good. I still have a long way to go. Good job on taming the sugar monster...if you get a headache for a couple of days its just the withdrawel from the sugar...how scary is that!! Mine lasted a good week,,and it was a dooozy too. Coco I never ate a avacado till last year.....now I love them. I chop them into my salads or just eat them plain. I do limit myself to one a week but they are very heart healthy! The fat in them is the good fat. Just buy one and try it..Im sure you will like it. Sandra a maintain is great..you guys have a hard weekend coming up with the big holiday...your heading into it in a good *weigh*.. have a good one eveyone ttyl |
Hi all:
No, Patti, I haven't seen salt free chicken stock here in Toronto, just reduced salt. Snow is headed our way the forecasters say. So, to all you Canuks north of me in Southern Ontario, it's my turn! I've done very well with the eating today: oatmeal, fruit, zero point soup, some chicken and salad...and some walnuts and almonds (not Core). I bought a recent edition of Oprah's magazine with an interview with Dr. Oz. He recommended having a few days a week as Vegan...NO meat, no dairy. I have a niece with some heart problems and she started eating Vegan...all the elevated lipids, cholesterol, tricglycerides, etc went to normal! She got anemic and has to fix that, but otherwise really benefitted from it. I'm not going there, but I don't mind cutting back on the animal products. I can't imagine not eating yogurt because the soy yogurt is foul tasting to me! I'm going to have an early night tonight, so I'll say good night to all. Talk to you tomorrow. Rhonda ps: Sandra, we haven't seen the parking lot! The last we saw was the Esquire in ruins, and that hurt! |
Hi Everyone
Not much happening here. Just checking in. NEWLIFESTYLE Yes I am eating enough. That is the problem. I am eating too much. I do need to get the journal back out and start writing it down. Good job on planning. WELCOME!!!! P.A. Maybe one of these days I will try the avacodo. Hope you are having a great day. ONTARGET How are you doing. Did you get your window fixed in the playhouse. And all your flowers planted. TEJAS I have been thinking about making some of the WW soup. Just have to keep my guys out of it. Did you get your reports all typed up. Hope so. VICKIE Hope you and hubby are doing ok. Thinking of you. TECHALUM How are you doing. Miss you. Thinking of each of you. Well I am making plans for the dinner at the brother in law tomorrow. I made some pumpkin fluff, and fruit salad. And then I am making some green beans. That way I can eat all the green beans I want. And then I will have some dessert as everyone else is eating theirs. And wont feel left out. Well ladies am going to get off here for now. Hope everyone had a great day. coco |
TEJAS sounds as if you had a wonderful day of eating. That is great.
Isnt the nuts core. Was thinking that nuts were. Better get my books back out and go over them. Hope you get a good nights rest. coco |
Ann, I had no idea you were getting that much exercise every day. I am properly impressed.
Ruth, I have bread almost daily but count the points. Also, I make a core cornbread. I have to admit I need to be careful about eating too much. It can be a redlight food. Rhonda, I know you're tired of typing reports. I would be, too. On another note, did you know that American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, is from Burleson? She's performing at the Cowboy game's halftime tomorrow. Coco, Missoula got over a foot of snow the other day. What a storm! I'm glad we're in Texas. Patti, you have me hungry for avacados. Maybe I'll get one for next week. You're right about that maintain. It has made me "want" to be better. Rhonda, I'll take a photo of the lot. Even though it looks nice, it's still sad. I remember many many times standing in line waiting to get in to watch shows. I was always so proud to see my cuz there. He was my favorite cuz back then. He's in 2nd place now. Coco, all the flowers are in the ground and looking good. The window is still taped. We'll fix it later. I made some Core cookies today and am amazingly surprised at how good they are. They are made with pumpkin and oatmeal. |
Nuts are not Core. Wish they were.
|
Will you post the cookies recipe on the hohoho site? I am desperate for some sweet goodness that is core.
I also need to find the recipe for the core cornbread...and when you say it is a red light food does that mean it is a borderline CORE food or that we need to be counting points towards our WPA? Thanks - Lytricia |
Consider it done, Lytricia.

On the run today...looking forward to the dinner out tonight. Will have to drink lots of water before dinner!!
I really do miss American Thanksgiving...it's the BEST holiday. Rhonda |
HI EVERYONE!!
Just wanted to say "HAPPY THANKSGIVING":happ3::thanks1: Got my beans on cooking. in the crockpot. Fluff and fruit salad made. Now to just wait until time to go. Hope everyone has a wonderful. Thinking of each of you. Again Happy Thanksgiving. coco |
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
Red light means its a food that calls you from the cupboard, fridge wherever it is........ once you start to eat it...you cant stop. And being on Core you have to recognize a serving size and stick to that. |
Well, the food was not as good as it should have been at our dinner. The good part of that was that I didn't eat all that much. But, I did have the pumpkin pie...I hope that each and everyone who was celebrating Thanksgiving today ate at least ONE thing that wasn't CORE! ;)
Rhonda |
I did, Rhonda. I'm not saying what. I don't want to tempt anyone. Today I thought of our Thanksgiving together last year. I missed you today.
