Hi All:

There are a few posts on the earlier thread, including a new one from Deedeedee...so, you might want to check that out.

My day was good today with eating. Getting back with some order after last week's slightly messy approach to food.

We're headed out to dinner now, and going to go see the Yuma movie, having heard it is good.

Sandra, thanks for the greetings from Kathy..we all miss her, for sure.

Later,
Rhonda

Just a quick check in.
TEJES I am so sorry about Anna. I know what you are going through. About 7 years ago. We had to put our doggie to sleep. That was so hard. But I know it was the best for her. Because she was suffering. But it still hurt. Hope you had a good time tonight. How was the movie. Previews look good.
ONTARGET How's the condo. Getting all settled. I am sure it will take some time.
Well I lost 1 pound in two weeks. Was a little disappointed. But then got to thinking. I did manage a loss. So will take it.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Thinking of each of you.
Oh on my fruit salad I made to take camping with us. It was good. but I figured the points way to low. Figured about 3 points a cup. My leader told me tonight it was about 6 or 8 points a cup. So much for trying to do something right.
Will check in tomorrow.
Night

Hi All:

3:10 to Yuma is what we saw. It's rather bloody, but probably the way it was. It is set in the old west, but could have been in modern day times. It's complicated...good vs evil, father-son struggles, etc.

Coco, any loss is good, is the way I look at it. So, know we know about our fruit salads!! Thanks!

Tomorrow....

Hi, Dee. Welcome to the group. I'm anxious to get to know you better. Please post often. I apologize for being so "not really here" right now. We're moving.

Rhonda, that's my kind of movie. I'm reading The Ruins right now. Lots of blood and gore. Well, I'm not reading much at a time cuz of the move.

Coco, congrats on the loss. Wish I had one. Wishing doesn't quite get it. I'm going to have to work for it, aren't I?

Good Morning All,

I didn't get my ride in on Sunday I'm kind of bummed. But I will tomorrow. Today I'm going to Curves after work. I did meet my folks and walked yesterday, then made and canned tomato sauce all afternoon. Depending on how it works out, this may be the first and last time I do that....I just had soooo many tomatoes, usually I give most of them away but my mom had all the stuff to can so I thought I'd give it a try. We'll see.

Dee - are you a fan of Carlos Mancia? DeeDeeDee is his favorite phrase. Welcome and good luck.

Coco - Congrats on the loss. Remember slow and steady wins the race. Tortoise and Hare etc.

Rhonda - glad you enjoyed (?) the movie you needed a break after the last couple of weeks.

Sandra - So you're moving out this week. Now it's time to get back on track and focus. No more excuses.

Gotta go get ready for work and grab breakfast. Have a great day everyone.

NO MORE EXCUSES, she said. OK, then....Tech, it looks like you're going to make your summer challenge goal, and that's great.

I've started the day very well and have a roast in the crock pot for tonight. The eating should be good today. Now, for the

Have a great OP day,

Hi Everyone
Had to get on here. And get out of the living room and kitchen area. I am having a terrible time with the eating today. I have ate so much it isnt funny. I just keep picking. I am wanting something. But dont know what. So am trying to find something to satisfy the feeling. I am over 5 points over my daily points. So thought I would get on here to you ladies.
Not much happening here. Getting cool. Finally. My kind of weather. around 70 degrees and no humidity. Wonderful.
How has everyone been today.
Has everyone had a good op day. I hope so. Hope no one had a bad one like me. I'm not sure what happened today. But I will have to LET IT GO. And get back on track tomorrow.
Oh at our meeting last night. They had a sample of the new pretzels WW came out with. They are BBQ flavored. Taste pretty good. But are expensive. So wont be getting those. Got some veggies. So plan on getting them cleaned tomorrow. So I will have those to pick on. Maybe that will help. Hope so.
Well I am going to get off here. For now. May be back. Will have to see how the eating thing is going after I get off here.
Hope everyone had a great day.
I am thinking of each of you.

Good Evening All,

Just have a minute before the oven beeps that dinner is done. I worked today and went to curves after. Tomorrow is wi. It's a good one, after this week I just want to stay the same. After the big loss last week that's probably pretty good.

Coco - Hang in there. I hate days when you pick and don't feel satisfied. We can do this I know we can.

Rhonda - I think I may have put my foot in my mouth. But I'll take that challenge. How was the roast? I love coming home to dinner already cooked.

Have a great night.

Coco, I looked in my WW materials and they said that 1 C of fruit salad is 2 points. Of course, maybe you added things to it?? And Patti's right: it's really good you came here and left the tempting foods and drink.

The roast was great. I, too, love the crock pot and having the meal ready.

We had a big thunderstorm here tonight and there is a tree limb lying across our street. It knocked down some wires, but the police have blocked off the street. It didn't hit our house or car, thank goodness.

That's a lot of excitement for one night

Morning chickies...
I did get my walk in last night..I really need to work on my stomach. Im apple shaped (the worse kind of shape to be). The last couple of weeks my wieght has been up and down so much...I havnt been as strict with the salt in my diet as I was. I have to stop that again. Day off today and I plan on getting together with my friends for coffee..and then a big walk with my dog. We both need a walk in the sunshine....weve been walking at night. Ive had 3 people tell me they noticed Ive lost weight......ususually I try to brush it off..but this time I admitted it and thanked them. This is a HUGE thing for me.
Rhonda i need to get my crockpot out and make something. mmm roast sounds good too. Glad there wasnt any damages from the fallen wires...

have a great day everyone..drink your water and get some exercise in and then come back and tell us about it!!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon All,

Well wi was ugly today. I knew it was going to be. I've been eating a lot of salty snack foods this last week and am feeling really bloated. I will get back on track and eat core this next week even while out of town.

I did go for a ride this morning though so I'm feeling pretty good about myself despite the 1.8 lb gain

Patti - I watched most of Fat March it was interesting, a different premise because the more that made it all the the way the more money they each made. For every person that quit they each lost $10k It made it more of a team challenge rather than a competition. The guy I felt the worst for was Matt he had to quit after 410 miles and loosing like 80 lbs, because his knees gave out and they recommended surgery to fix them. Yea on getting in your walk!!! Did you enjoy the sun?

Rhonda - Glad you didn't have any damage from the storm.

Well I should go grab lunch and get moving. Today is for laundry and cleaning out my car before we take it camping. I don't know if you remember but this spring I set my goal to ride a 50 mile tour and the Mackinaw Bridge. Well the tour is this weekend. We've decided to only go 25 (still more than I could have done a couple of years ago), and since it's only going to be 45 degrees F when they ride across the bridge (and it's always colder on the bridge than the ground) we're probably going to skip that. Tent camping when it's that cold is bad enough, getting up at 6am to ride and freeze is just not my idea of a good time. There's always next year .

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Everyone
Well not much happening here. But had a beautiful day.
TECHALUM Sorry about your gain. But I know you will get back on track. Have fun on your camping trip. Take some long johns for the nights. Good luck with the bike ride. You will do fine. I havent been on a bike for probably 20 years.
TEJAS Your roast sounded like it would be good. The fruit salad I made. I used 2 cans tropical fruit salad, 2 cans lite fruit cocktail, 1 can chunk pineapple and a small can mandrin organges. Then I sprinkled sf instant pudding mix on it. I used banana cream this time. It was good. I usually use vanilla. But leader said each one of these canned fruits were 1/2 cup servings for a point. So had to add them all together. So that is why she said it was 6 to 8 points per cup. So dont know. Leader also said I shouldnt use canned fruit. Just to use fresh. But sometimes I dont always have alot of fresh fruit on hand. Guess I will still make my salad. and count the points. And enjoy.
P.A. Good job on the walk. I need to start exercising. But just havent made myself. I wanted to watch Biggest Loser. But hubby and son were watching something else. So didnt get to see it. How did the new hostess do. She is on Days of Our Lives.
ONTARGET How is everything going. Take some time for yourself. I know you have been really busy. Have a great evening.
Well am going to get off here for now.
Hope everyone had a good day.

Coco, I'm sure you know that the problem with canned fruit is that it is often packed in syrup. You can buy fruit in water, or light syrup. So, you have to pay attention to the label. Also, if you have only fruit packed in heavy syrup, you can wash it and get rid of some of the sugar. And, it's better to eat canned fruit than no fruit at all. Excuse me if I'm telling you what you already know.

Wow, Tech, that's quite an adventure you have coming up. I used to tent camp and backpack a lot and really loved it. But I really don't enjoy sleeping on the ground much anymore. And, when it's cold, no thank you!

I did OK with eating today. There was a welcome back BBQ at the faculty club and I stuck to vegetables and lean meat, except for one 3 inch piece of sausage that I just HAD to have. I'm not eating supper and breakfast was Core and low calorie.

It's been harder to get in the water and the exercise. But, tomorrow I am going to do some exercise, no matter what. I'm going to the athletic center and doing something. Also, DH just never exercises and won't take walks with me. SO, I have a scheme. I'll get him to watch a movie with me 3 nights a week and I'll do floor exercises while the movie is on. That way I can spend time with him and exercise. I hope all my flailing around won't bug him, but he rarely complains about anything I do....I'm lucky that way.

Later,
Rhonda
