Good Morning:

Here's our new pages.

There's a post last night from Froufie on last week's pages; she needs our help to go from to

Froufie, here's what I think: it's all of those things you mentioned, plus the new job stresses. You CAN do it. Others have, we can, and you CAN. So, move from CAN to DOING....start today. It's Monday, a good day to start.
Something's got you off balance, so, don't even analyze it too much...just get back on.

I'll do the same...how about the rest of the Chickies...on balance today!

Rhonda

YAY!!!! Today is a new day and a HUGE new start for me. I hate how much I've gained back but it's over. I should change my chick but to be honest with you all I don't think I will do it. It would just be TOO defeating to me. I'm not in denial but I think it's more motivating for me to leave it where it was so I can strive to get back there. Hope you all don't mind.

I'm off to WW in about an hour. I have to go shower now.

Good morning ladies, I had a rought time this weekend food wise also, I was out and about alot which I find is difficult to stay op. It's Ok, wasn't that bad, today is a new beginning. Let's all have a fresh start today and not look back, we have to get the right mind set again. My motivation is we want to go to Florida when school is out to visit with family, so I really want to drop quite a bit before we go. I will do my watp dvd today and I will try to do it everyday, I am sure I can find 30 minutes a day. Everyone have a great op day!! I am taking DD to the Library, she is scheduled for storytime this morning.

hi there, chickies. it's a beautiful monday morning. we have already gotten and let go a new internet provider. thank goodness we didn't cancel the one we had been (and still are) using. life is good.

i got back op as of yesterday am. today i'm going shopping for new tops to wear on our trip to louisville. i have sponsor shirts to wear when we're competing but i don't want to wear "martin archery" shirts with other sponsors embroidered all over them on the plane, etc.... anyway, shopping will help me keep focused on maintaining the next 2 weeks. after april 2, i'm going to start losing again. that's the plan.

frouf, i am now on my soapbox. i know why you are having trouble getting back op. your system is out of whack from your trip. i have never been on a cruise, but i know that eating is bountiful--and it's not always weightloss friendly foods. get that book patti's been talking about, [U]you on a diet.[U] it will explain to you exactly what's going on inside your body from your mind to your colon. i'm still reading and am learning quite a bit.

other than getting that book and learning what's going on inside you, just work hard now to get refocused. write down everything that goes into your mouth. i'll hush up now because i know you already know what to do. that challenge you started will help you. it's helping me, too. thank you again for starting it.

rhonda, i'm balanced today. we got up early and worked on our sports psychology exercises. we're working on self talk today. (sounds like ww, doesn't it?) curtis is now working on taxes. i'm contacting everybody about the email saga. later we'll go train. we haven't trained since last week so it's time. i'm going shopping later for new tops. i'm over my hiatus and am back op. life is good. how's your day? did you get finished painting?

coco, i usually type my post somewhere other than here then i copy it and paste it here. that saves me a lot of grief. every now and then i type here directly and it either works or doesn't. typing elsewhere always works because i can "start over" easily.

vickie, i would do the same. i think about 99% of our weightloss success is because of mental games. i play them all the time. i'm not playing them against anyone else. i'm playing them on myself. sounds like you're doing the same. this said i will be watching for your chickie to grow to bigger numbers. congratulations on being reborn. ain't it great!!!

nikki, ditto for me. my hiatus ended at midnight saturday night. i'm feeling dusted now and am op. enjoy your monday.

Good Afternoon:

Thanks for the soapbox Sandra! I had strayed from writing it all down, and I've gone right back to it.

Frouf, we're all here with you...Niki, Vickie, Coco, Sandra and me..we're sending you good thoughts

I've been working from home and dealing with handymen all day. We have had the man from Home Depot in to measure the kitchen; a painter in to give an estimate because we are tired and tired and tired; and, now, the washing machine repairman is here.

The painter promised to come on Wednesday and take no more than two days to put on two coats of paint in the DR/LR. It will be good just to have it over and not have to do it. This is the first time in my life that I have ever hired a painter for the inside of a house. I've always done it myself; it's time for a change!!

I've done OK on the eating today. I put out 1/2 ounce of chocolate, with a plan to eat it for desert after dinner. Oh, I bought a really good roast Saturday and cooked it in the crock pot yesterday. It was sooooo delicious and worth every penny spent to buy really good meat. What a difference from the normal grocery store fare.

I'm off to the office for a few hours. That means heading out into the bleak, grey freezing day. Oh well, I'm lucky when it comes to work.

(There's a cute squirrel playing in the neighbor's tree, eating the seed she put out for the birds!)

rhonda, i'm glad you hired the painter. we do the same. curtis' shoulders don't have the range of motion for him to paint, and i'm too messy. you're making me so hungry for a good roast. i may have to make one this week. we're having tilapia for lunch.

i haven't done the yoga yet but will later. after lunch i'm going shopping for the new tops then heading on over from the mall to the women's club to do weight training. it really feels good to be in focus.

Hi chickies,

Thanks for all the good thoughts and support - it is really helping! Also being at work and away from the house also forces me to be more in control.

I do have a headache now and did not have enuf lunch - but had a granola bar and some strawberries a while ago to help hold me over til dinnertime!

Sandra - did you go shopping? What did you end up getting? Inquiring minds want to know!

Vickie - how did the meeting go? Congrats on recommitting! You sound very motivated (and it will hopefully rub off on me!).

I am trying hard to BREAK those nasty habits - you are right Sandra - it's the food that's got control of me instead of the other way around! I am thinking not only of my trip to the Falls but realized I am heading to Montreal end of May for a bat-mitzvah (daughter of an old high school gf I am still in touch wth!) - so I want to look my best for that.

And I know this may sound premature but I am seriously considering booking another cruise for the fall! Maybe September/October? I can't imagine anything better for me both mentally and physically than having 6 months to get back in shape with something to look forward to! My gf from Toronto might go on a cruise early oct (50th birthday) so that might work out - and of course there's always Ray - wonder if he would cruise with me again? Hope I was not a great annoyance and too demanding! ha ha ha

Time to head home now, eat dinner and start the 'driving' ritual again - dd has dance class from 7-9 pm!

Later

Frouf

Hey chicks,
We had a snowstorm overnight last night I was hoping they were over with.
As well as Ive been doing , weekends are still challenging for me. I could list lots of excuses but thats all they are ..excuses. This time Im making no excuses for my actions. Its my fault period.
I got my dh to walk with me twice this weekend..it was soo nice. He needs this as well as myself and he's starting to realize it. He has an appt with a nutritionist this thursday and asked me to go with him. I want to pick her brain as well.
Rhonda, the "You" book suggests you eat one piece of chocolate every second day..but it has to be at least 70percent coco. Its good for the heart. It also suggests one glass of red wine daily..or pure grape juice. (I dont drink wine and cant find pure grape juice)
Sandra, Im glad you are enjoying the book as much as I did. I learned so much from it...and whenthings go wrong..I know why.
Vickie, I say leave your chickie,,,we all do things on here that probably arnt true to the board (i dont follow core but still post here..) if it helps you ..go for it girl!!
Frouf, I cant believe your talking about another cruise already..haha..you amaze me. Are you unpacked from the last one yet?? haha I do much better food wise when Im working and busy too.
Coco have you started the book yet?? how do you like it?? Vickie??
ok supper is ready here..have a good one chicks!!

Hi All:

Just so you know....Frouf, I'm ahead. I've started thinking about next February's vacation, because I will NOT go through another February like this one!!!! I'm dreaming of any place warmer than here.

Chocolate every other day sounds good. I like the red wine idea too, but I'm trying to avoid it lately. I'm read about the grape juice..try a health food store....Concord grapes are the best, I read.

I did OK with food, so far today. Just had dinner with a HUGE salad.

DH wants a cake, so I'm going to bake it for him. He has lost 10 pounds since January!

Just a quick note.
I went to WW tonight. I stayed the same. I am happy with that. Because I do know that I made right choices this week. And passed on things that I shouldnt have had. So next week I will have a loss.

P.A. No I havent gotten to start my book yet. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to.

Thinking of everyone.
FROUFY I am with you. I know how are you feeling. I am with you every step.
Have a good evening.

i'm home. i didn't do :yogo: or weight training but i did do now isn't that the opposite from what i'd posted earlier? i ran out of time to do the training at the club. by the time i got through shopping and getting a few groceries, it was time for most of the other folks to be there. i like to be there during slow times so i don't have to wait or be waited on for equipment.

frouf, you're going to get back in control. the trips and possible cruise are wonderful goals. are you going to get that book? i don't mean to badger you, but i think you'll like it. what did i buy today? i got 7 tops and one pair of lounging pants that are precious. i got 2 bali minimizer bras and some clinique eye shadow. i got curtis 3 nice short sleeve shirts. everything looks very springy.

patti, it's been 60ish up here for several days but is supposed to be 40ish tomorrow and snowing. i won't start the wine or grape juice (there's a yuppie food store that prob has it here) till after louisville. when we get home, i'm getting super serious again.

rhonda, i am so happy for doyle. tell him i said congratulations, cuz!!! i would suggest ya'll come to montana feb, but it's cold here then, too. maybe summer?

vickie, how's your day going? are you revitalized? i am going to be looking to you for inspiration. we're going to do this, girl.

got to go. i'll be back tomorrow. i'm tired after it was a tough class today.

Frouf my friend you are going to pull it all together...you are a fighter! And I think another cruise goal is great. Something to look forward to makes such a difference I think.

Sandra, congrats on going to WA. I know you didn't do both, but you exercised and that's what matters. You are one active chick and an inspiration. Remember when you were fighting with the 200 mark like I am? We were right there together for so long...you got your act together and I didn't. I'm coming for you now!!

Coco, I'm sorry that you are having so much trouble posting. If you highlight your message, right-click "copy" before you submit the post, you can always "paste" it into another message if it messes up. That's probably not a very good explanation but I hope it helps.

Rhonda, congrats to DH! That's great.

Oops, DH is home, gotta run!!
