Good Morning All:
I set the alarm for 6AM, but snoozed about 20 more minutes. Sandra, congratulations! I hope you're strutting your stuff in Montana these days....good shooting. Perhaps it was worth the "meltdown"? I read the recipes you posted Patti. I make something similar to your salmon cakes, but, I use corn meal often, instead of bread crumbs. My mother used to make them with cracker crumbs, as probably did every woman her age at the time. I'll try the dill sauce...I love dill also. I read a lot of the recipes this morning, and now I'm really hungry ;) I have another long day. There are too many of those recently. Our projects at home continue....thank goodness. As soon as we get the rest of the stuff into storage we start painting. The person to measure the kitchen comes on Monday. I'm curious to see how much of this project I actually do, but there will be a new stove, for certain! Off to read the paper and have breakfast. Have a good day everyone. Rhonda |
Good Morning Chicks! We had SNOW last night. Kind of hard to take after 74 degrees. It stuck on the grass but I'm sure it won't be around long. I have a busy day again today. I have an appointment between 7:30-9:30 today so I may have to run at some point if the guy arrives. Jim will handle it while I run upstairs to get ready for our dental appointments. Then we are going out to lunch and off to buy a confirmation and some birthday presents. Thursday is our dinner night out so I guess we'll be eating out twice today. It's a good thing my resolve is strong!
I'm going to go get a cup of coffee and catch up as much as I can until the appointment arrives. |
Hello all. Its seems to get tougher to find a few minutes to stop by. I feel I've missed so much - and I've missed you all very much! I've been a bit off kilter with doing core. I'm still about 3 pds from my goal and I'm very happy with how I look. I am still searching for the right inspiration to get me in the losing mode -- for now I'm maintaining and doing well.
The good news is that we are all finally healthy! But, it was 70 degrees yesterday and we have snow coming in tonight -- Thanks Vickie for sending it our way! The other good news is we bought a new car last weekend. My old car was 5 years old, only 48,000 miles and in good shape. EXCEPT for small electrical problems that had been happening over the past months. We decided to just get rid of it now while the trade in was good. We picked up the new car on Tuesday and I love it -- bought a left over 2006 Dodge Magnum. Such a great look to it, and I love the idea of a wagon. Saturday I have to go back to the dealership to get the registration and sticker. Thats all I've been up to -- a little bit of excitment. Frouf -- WELCOME BACK! I missed your stories and posts. The trip sounded wonderful and the picture is beautiful. I hope you are still on a vacation high - don't let work bring you down too quickly. Speaking of work, what ever happen with all the changes in your group? Any chance it means something great for you? Sandra -- CONGRATS on the win. Very impressive!!! Archery is not something I have ever been very good at. My DH taught me to shoot -- that I can do. I hope everyone else is doing well - Tech, Rhonda, Melissa, Coco and Niki. I must admit I am very behind on what has been going on. I WILL BE BETTER. My new focus for a purchase now is a new PC. I know I had posted about this a while ago but I never did anything on it. Well, I now have a new lap top from work that I should be bringing home each night (I'm the coordinator for our disaster recovery plan). Well, its a brand new Dell with wireless. And in order to log into work I need high speed. So, I need to get the cable hooked up, buy a new PC for the upstairs (our current one is limping along) with the cable modem and wireless. That will give us the speed on our PC and allow me to "use" my work PC downstairs. Time to research all of that. If anyone has any insight, I'd love it! I'm off to catch up, I'll bbl. |
Frouf, my friend, I am SO glad you're home.....although I'm sure you are NOT! The picture you shared was breathtaking but I was hoping to see a Frouf in the foreground. I'm very relieved that you loved Wicked even though I suspected in my heart that you would enjoy it as much as I had. No one could hold a candle to Idina. I SO wish you could have been surprised at the end. I'm telling you I was like a delighted child at the end when I saw it for the first time. I'm sure food detox is going to be a bit hard for you. I'm glad you started the new challenge since it seems to be helping you and others. I really loved hearing all the details of your cruise. I'll never take one so I need to live vicariously through you. How funny was the story of Ray trying to explain that you weren't his wife. Wish I could have been there. Will there be more pictures for us....maybe even one with a Frouf? And how did the boarding shirts go? Did you wear yours?
Donna, I OFTEN get into trouble when I skip meals or let myself get too hungry. Most of the time I just overeat Core food.....but calories are calories. I'm sure you can turn it around. I'm trying very hard to get remotivated and recommited instead of just playing around. I hope we can all do it together. Whatever you do, don't give up and start out getting back on the wagon one meal at a time. It may also help by promising to go to weigh in next week. Sandra, I'm reading the posts in order so I haven't seen yet whether or not you won your competitions. Something tells me you've done fantastic! I see you had trouble recently with letting yourself get too hungry, too. See....the Core program at least has some good concepts. It isn't just eat until satisfied but also to not let yourself get too hungry. Oooohhhh....I see from your last post that you've won!!!! I'm going to go read the website after I send my post through. Coco, I still haven't bought my Dr. Oz book. I'm hoping to get it today. I hadn't realized that you'd been struggling so long. Until recently, I hadn't exercised since August 28th, so things havent gone well for me since then. It sounds like you are sure turning it around now! Huge Congratulations :carrot: on your big loss for this week. I'm hoping to get back to having great losses EVERY week. Gardening is great exercise. I wish I enjoyed it more. As far as vitamins, I take a packet from QVC called Nature's Code. I take the one for Women under 50 (even though I'm about to go over) since I still have TOM. I'll see if I can give you a link that works. I've been on them, as is Jim, for about 10 years now. We are on auto delivery which means they send us a new package of 90 every 90 days. http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail Melissa, it's always great to hear from you and we certainly could use your daily support. You were always a very positive influence for me. I think 6 pounds down is a fantastic accomplishment. It's better than what you had done without support, right? I'm very proud of you and I hope you keep going to meetings. It works for me although I can't really explain the dynamics! Did you ever get to weigh in this week? Nikki, I'm glad you had a great birthday! Little DS's manners are no accident. I'm sure he's the result of good parenting. Kudos to mom and dad. Angela, how rough of a move was that for your poor Sister? I hope she's feeling better now. Poor DH, having to go through that luncheon. Ugh. And what a disappointment that interview started out to be. I hope and pray that his new contacts will turn up something great for him soon. I know the worry must be getting both of you at least a little bit. Rhonda, your subway walking plan sounds brilliant. I'm trying to incorporate more lifestyle exercise into my routine as well. Wow, 50 boxes of stuiff! Good for you for decluttering your life. I need to do more. And for my fish fix, I eat it out at restaurants. Fortunately, it's a great way for me to be good at restaurants. I'm just learning how to eat fish so it's not a great hardship. Actually, there is a lot of fish I've never tried because I'm afraid to ruin my whole meal if I don't like it. |
Ok I had a nice post and hit the wrong keys and deleted it w/o posting  Let's try again....
Sandra - :carrot: Official Congrats! I'm joining you on the 2-3 hr eating thing, which means I should go grab something it's been almost 3 hrs since breakfast. Vicki - snow here too :( Why is it we're excited to see this in Nov/Dec but in March were annoyed? At least it didn't stick to the drive so no shoveling. Have fun eating out (twice). Paula - Yea on the new car! I love my wagon, we even brought home the new couch from Ikea in it (of course we had to tie down the lift gate because it really didn't fit). Good luck with the PC that's how we do it but dh is the IT guy in this house. Rhonda - I missed the stuff about calcium, I've been thinking I should start taking some since I can't eat dairy. Coco - can't help with the vitamins, I don't take any although I probably should, I end up buying them and they expire before use...... Patti - those salmon cakes sound good, may have to try them although I'm not a huge salmon fan. I make a potato-cod cake that's good, but again has breadcrumbs so not strictly core. I've been tracking my flex points and trying to stay core for the last month (ignoring last week), and I don't seem to get in enough points if I only eat core (5-6 short each day). I think this might be why I only seem to be able to stick with it a couple of weeks. I need to find core foods I like that will give me more calories. The big problem is I'm not a protein fan. I'll have to ponder this question.... Here is a link to a picture of a crayon bag I made for my nephew. He just turned 5 and I thought it would be good for car trips. I have the stuff to make another for another nephew to take on his train ride to Chicago at the end of the month. http://www.eskimo.com/~dms/Crayon_Bag.html Have a great OP day everyone. -Tech |
Congrats Sandra - but you were always our CHAMPION no matter what!
Angela - good luck to your dh - hopefully all those circulating resumes will bring some good news. How is your sister doing? I hate moving - so traumatic. Coco - congrats- keep up the good work! Vickie - fish fish and more fish - I hear you! Also trying to eat more of it cuz it's good for me! I also love happy endings but honestly was crying for most of the last part of the show - and then sad cuz it was over! Definitely more pics coming once my 'photographer' send me my cd with all the fabulous pics - I can't wait! And I am just hanging on with the 'detox' thing - I can't believe how badly behaved my body is - such a traitor. All I want is sugar and carbs and fattening stuff - just forced myself to eat my tossed salad and can of water packed tuna - you would think that would make me happy? No siree bob - just looking for something else to eat - I will try my banana - maybe a yogurt - which should keep me stuffed for a while. I am taking my 2 boys to the hockey game tonight and hoping to control my eating there too! Maybe some popcorn and water? Not much time to each when I get home as we need to leave early - so I am planning scrambled eggs for dinner. Dh ordered chinese food last night and of course I inhaled too much of it - hope all the LO are gone by the time I get home from work! Baby steps right? Trying to eat less garbage and drink more water for now - hopefully the new challenge will also help me stay focused. Rhonda - how's your weather? We have had lovely mild weather this week - but they are predicting snow tomorrow and temps dropping. As much as we'd like to think winter is over I think we still have a while to go! And I set the alarm for 7:05 and snoozed til 8 am - so you're doing pretty good compared to me. I am still so very tired - but I think I might be coming down with something as I had a bit of a low grade fever last night? Hope I can fight whatever it is off! ...and our meeting times/calenders are all screwed up here at work due to the time change. Was supposed to have an 11 am meeting w/someone and he didn't show up - seems mtg appeared on his calendar as 12 noon (like I would schedule a meeting at lunchtime!) - anyhow he now shows up in my office - I explain the situation (I have already rescheduled the meeting) and asks if we can meet anyways (as I am chewing on my salad/tuna lunch) - so okay - but I am not impressed!!! This has made me even more cranky! The nerve of some people to interrupt a froufie's lunch!!! Frouf |
Whew! We just got home from leaving at almost 11:00. I'm SO tired. Too tired to chat now. I ate fairly well. I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to going hard Core on Monday. Until then, I'm trying to be as good as I can and not over eat.
Have a great evening! |
hi, chickies. confession time. curtis and i have been celebrating today. it was my idea. i can't blame him or anyone--not even the schwann's man. this is a planned splurge. tomorrow i'm going to go to ww and start again. my plan was to maintain at 165 or below till april. that's still doable. it's odd but i'm not even upset over this splurge. i wanted it and i had it. that's all i know to say. do you know what i mean? am i making any sense?
thank you all for the congratulations. i am still on cloud 9. the records aren't posted yet but should be soon. they are behind at the olympic center. i think some of the archery folk left today for argentina. rhonda, you'll be glad to get the new stove. is your week going to slow down any after today? vickie, i'm proud of you for having your determination to eat healthy. you inspire me. core is the best way to go. i know i need to do better especially at cutting down on processed foods. i'm restarting the 2-3 hours tomorrow and making almost all my food choices core foods. paula, congratulations on being 3 lbs from goal. that's fantastic. donna, welcome to the 2-3 hour eating. you're going to love it. the crayon bag is neat. your nephew will love it. frouf, didn't you get sick after your last cruise? do you think you maybe get rundown? curtis and i are just now getting over our trip(s) to salt lake, the tournament, and his trip to the olympic center. i think changes in routine wear us down. well, i'm off here to see what else i can get into today. maybe a wine cooler. see ya tomorrow. |
Hi Folks:
I've read all the posts, but am just too tired to write tonight. Just checking in to say good night...did OK with food today, just too much work to do this week. The weather was great here until the temperature began to drop today. It's just a bit below freezing now with snow predicted soon. It's almost always cold here on St.Patrick's Day....seems that Saturday will not be an exception. Tech...I looked at the Crayon Bag...how cute! I'll check in tomorrow... Rhonda |
Sandra...just read your post...we were on at the same time..enjoy your splurge!
:woohoo: |
:yay: Sandra!!!!
Today is DH's birthday so we're celebrating. BBL! |
Hey everyone. Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I plan on becoming a regular member of this support group.
I have been on and off WW now about 3 times. I'm back again, making this my 4th time. This time I'm hear to stay!!!! I have to admit it took me a long time to try this new Core plan, and I have to say now that I'm on it I think I love WW so much more! I am having a hard time with the "feeling satisfide" part of the entire scheem of things but I think in time I will get there. Can anyone out there give me some tricks of the trade?? Am I really hungary or am I just bored? I'm very happy that I picked up this months issue of "O" or I would have never found this site. I get some support at home but sometimes my family doesn't follow WW - neither my mother or father are tuly on WW they are just trying to eat healthy. Now I have all of you for support and can log on any day and tell you guys what kind of trouble I'm having or how good I'm doing. Along with this I can read everyone elses trials and tribulations ... for once I don't feel so alone in my "adventure" to lose weight. So thank you everyone and you will be seeing a lot more of me ladies and gents!! Hugz'n'Kizzez ~*Michelle*~ http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/purpvi...170/195.3/.png |
Good morning ladies, I have been up since 6am, the telephone rang and woke me up, I hate when I get a call so early in the morning, it frightens me that it is bad news, anyway it was a wrong number but I could not fall back to sleep.
Made myself a cup of coffe and watched the news while the kids were still sleeping, I had a whole 15 minutes to myself until ds woke up, so I had to turn the news off and put cartoons on, I don't allow him to watch the news, he is too young to see what goes on in this world. How did everyone make out with this storm, I am close to the east end of Long Island so we did not get it too bad, but west & north of me is getting quite a storm, I hope it doesn't make it's way to Canada. Have to go make breakfast and get ds ready for school, will bbl. |
Hi Michelle, welcome to the board, this is a wonderful group , very supportive!! I find that when I am bored I tend to go into the kitchen to look for something to eat, so I will get a drink of water or if I really want something I will grab a piece of fruit, what works for me is to have alot of fruit available.
|
Good Morning:
Welcome :welcome3: to the board, Michelle. I hope being here helps you on your journey. There's a very nice group of women here: no men that I know of. Niki, there's no storm in Ontario but the temperatures are dropping again for a few days. Sick of it.... I hope everyone has a good day. I've got one of those :cookie: meetings today. I'll take water with me and hold on for dear life! My plan to increase my walking is working. I walked a lot yesterday instead of taking the subway everywhere. It will help the weight, and it certainly helps the mood. Rhonda |
Good morning everyone. Hope all is well..
Sandra, I wouldn't worry too much about the splurge. As long as you recognize it for what it is, stay incontrol and go back to eating healthy, I say there is nothing wrong with it. After all, we can't live our lives NEVER splurging! Michelle, Welcome to the board. Its a great group of ladies. Hope to get to know you soon! Niki, I know what you mean about the early calls, same with any call after 11pm - can't be good.....Glad you had some alone time. Funny how we can be very happy with just 15 minutes of peace:D Of course I wouldn't trade my life for anything! Frouf, how are you adjusting back to "real life"? Hope all is going well Happy birthday Aaron!!! Melissa, hope you both have a nice celebration ;) I did want to share one brag with you all - of course its about Sarah. I was reading her a bed time book last night and she was actually sounding out some of the words!!! I was amazed - I know it wasn't her memorizing the book since it was a library book and it has not been read to her prior. I couldn't believe it -- she just turned 4! Such a smart little girl :D Yes, I'm a poud mommy! Well, I'm going to create a menu thread for today. I haven't seen one for a while - it helps me so I'll start it again. Take care everyone. |
Hi Michelle and welcome - always rooms for one more (and another canuck!) - where in BC are you?
Quote:
And to top it all off - I was eating non-stop yesterday - constantly looking for food - and this seems to be continuing today - and I finally realize it's TOM looming - no wonder feels like I have a brick in my tummy - and my back aches - and well let's just say I'm glad to be home? Melissa - happy Birthday to Aaron - enjoy the celebrations! Sandra - a splurge is great - if you can get back on track (unlike myself!) - sounds like you are doing it in a 'controlled' way - good for you. so when will we be seeing you in the Olympics? Paula - that is amazing that Sarah is already trying to read - girls definitely read earlier than boys - my 8 yr old has to be 'cajoled' into reading and somtimes pretends not to try - I am so frustrated cuz at 8 years old I was literally DEVOURING books from the library - bringing stacks and stacks home and back - my poor mother did not know what to think! And to this day I am convinced that much of my knowledge and smarts comes from being an early and avid reader - so do encourage Sarah as much as possible! She does sound like a smart cookie! Rhonda - good luck with the walking! And at the meeting! (chew gum!) Vickie - what are you up to today? I am freezing now - (maybe should take my temp again) - I am in jammies, socks, sweatshirt and still cold! And I guess I can at least put a load of laundry in altho I am just staring at the suitcases and piles around the bedroom - no motivation or inspiration to get it all organized right now - have lots to do and it just seems so overwhelming right now! Frouf |
Welcome Michelle,,,,glad you could join us. You will find lots of encouragement here. These ladies are so great.
Sandra, I agree about the splurge...you did it,,,now get on with it again. Its not the first splurge that get us into trouble...its the next one and next one and so on..... congrats on a job well done by the way!! yahoo on the competition Frouf,, hope you feel better soon Paula you are a proud mommy ...she sounds like a sweetheart! great job on all the walking Rhonda,,( I have to tell you ,,we have a co-worker who we call Rockn' Rhonda,,and when I type your name thats what i want to type..haha but then thought no it shoud be Walkn'Rhonda haha cracking myself up here and no one is around to appreciate it..haha) |
Hey Chicks! I'm here just waiting for yet another fence guy to show up. He was supposed to be here between 2-2:30 and he's late. We are only waiting until 4:00 and then we are outta here. We met a friend for breakfast at 8:30.....whew it's hard to be up and dressed that early! :D Then we shopped a bit and I had a 1 1/2 hour nap. Life is good! Eating isn't great today, but not horrible either.
Monday is my start anew date. I'm trying not to take too much advantage until then. Oh.....I bought my Doctor Oz book yesterday but have yet to start reading. Maybe I'll have a few minutes tonight. I'm crazy about you all and will come to catch up soon. |
Wow, I thought we were not going to be affected by this storm, were they ever wrong. We have had an icey sleety rain since 9am, about 4 inches of ice has acummulated, I went out in this to pick up ds early from school, I did not want him on the school bus in this mess. I am supoose to go to New Jersey tomorrow, my Aunt is visiting from Florida, she is my dd godmother, I don't know if I will venture out, it is still coming down out there. My poor aunt has been wrapped in a blanket all day she is freezing, what a weekend to visit(lol).

Good Evening All,
Spent most of the day up in my sewing room making the purse for my niece. I really hope she likes it. Now I have to start on the other coloring bag for the nephew taking the train to Chicago, my sister asked me to babysit him a week from Sunday so I want to give it to him then. Only takes a couple of hours to make though. I think I'm going to have him help me get the seeds for my garden started. Ought to be nice and messy. I can't believe it's time for that already :D I am finding this eating every 2-3 hour thing harder than I thought it would be. Mainly in the morning I'll lose track of time and then be really hungry, look at the clock and it's been 4-5 hrs since breakfast, no wonder I'm hungry. Guess it'll just take practice. Rhonda - Glad your enjoying getting in more walking. Vickie - Hope the fence guy finely showed up. Sandra - Did you enjoy the planned splurge. Sometimes (most times?) we need those, the key is to not let them expand to binges/falling off the wagon. Michelle - Welcome!! Frouf - hope your feeling better. Patti - I noticed the salmon cakes were from "Eating Well" I'd actually tried them before and the were good, although the dill sauce was a little too dilly for me (not a huge dill fan). Was the stir fry from there too? The cookbook I got had a Korean Stir Fry that's really good with flanksteak/spinach/bean shoots. Well I've gotta go grab a banana and head to Curves then come home and make dinner. The fun never ends. -Tech |
niki - Hope your weather improves and you get to see your aunt. I'm pretty glad that storms not supposed to make it this far west.
-Tech |
:welcome: michelle. we're happy to have a new "regular" here.
melissa, i love that little smiley. it's precious! tell dh happy birthday!!!! rhonda, there was a rooster here for awhile. i don't know what happened. a fox might have gotten him or something. congratulations on the walking. yesterday i did a bit more weight training. i'm going to walk today. nikki, you're 100% right. into each life a little splurge must fall. sarah is amazing. i know you're proud. i posted my today's menu on the challenge thread before i saw the one you started. frouf, olympics? i may be competing in the national senior olympics this june/july if my coach doesn't veto the idea. we are both already registered but we haven't booked air or hotel yet. i'm sorry you're not feeling well. i'll bet it is tom hanging around. it takes me about a week to get over a trip (or tournament) now. i am exhausted and eat for energy. i get chilled when i'm tired. you're sounding a lot like me. vickie, so far so good today on getting back op. i went to the store and loaded up with fruit. that should help. i'm waiting now for another hour and a half so i can have some popcorn. i like this eating every 2-3 hours. i looked for dr. oz's book at walmart and safeway today but they didn't have it. i'll have to look some more. |
nikki, i hope you get to see your aunt, too. our weather is all right. it's very humid and around 48*. not bad for western montana.
donna, i loved that splurge. i don't dare post what all i had. let's just say it was a decadent day. so far so good on being op today. sometimes i have trouble with the 2-3 hours eating, too. some days i sit and watch the clock tick. i'm doing that today. |
Hi All:
Nice to hear about Sarah and her reading. It's so important! I managed to eat only one cookie at the meeting. They were right in front of me, and I moved them away so I wouldn't eat more. I ate salmon with salad for lunch..that's 4 times this week! I'll be swimming upstream next. For supper, I've just had a salad. I did really well eating just salads for dinner, and think I'll get back to that. I add protein with beans or hard boiled eggs and sometimes a piece of meat. Salads aren't that appealing to me in the cold weather, but they certainly help the weight loss and maintenance. It's just past 7PM here, and I am so tired from the week, I could just go to bed now. I probably won't, but, if I'm not back, you can be sure that I've curled up for the night. Rhonda ps: I love to dance so Rockin' Rhonda would suit! |
Hi Everyone
Thought I would check in for a few. Hubby hasnt been feeling very good the last couple of days. Been having headaches. and then his stomach has been upset. Was feeling a little better today. It is snowing here now. Suppose to get between 2 to 4 inches. VICKIE Glad you got your Dr. Oz book. I havent got to read much in mine yet. Seems like everytime I start to read. Some one calls. Or I have to do something. And I know this weekend I wont get to read much in it. I am bummed about that. Thanks for the web site about the vitamins. Will check that out. ONTARGET Congrats on the scores. Thanks for the advice on the vitamins everyone. Will take the ones I got. And then see about getting some cheaper. Well I better get off here for now. Thinking of everyone. Have a great weekend. Watch out for the ice and snow. coco |
WELCOME MICHELLE.
The group of ladies here are wonderful. They are very supportive. |
rhonda, we've had halibut once, tilapia twice and shrimp twice this week. we'll be swimming with you.
coco, how is dh? i can't remember what his health problem is but i am worried about him. we're having chicken parmisan (sp?) /spaghetti/ and salad tonight. i had to toss the lo stew. it didn't look right. (tonight's dinner is a ww tv dinner) |
Thanks for all the welcome comments ladies, feel like part of the "family" already!!
Frouf - Yup a fellow canuck :) I live near the Vanoucver area ... and where abouts in the beautiful place we call Canada do you reside? Tech - the eating every 2-3 hours is hard at first but once you've been doing it for a month or so it really starts to stick Remember it takes 21 days to creat a new habbit and lose an old one coco99 - sorry to hear about you husband, hope he feels better soon. SNOWING??? Where is it snowing??? Tejas - glad to hear you managed to only eat one cookie :) don't know if I could have done that. Well so far this week I've been really good about staying away from treats. Started to grab for an apple or banana when I'm craving something sweet. Either that or I make myself a nice smoothie. Oh so yummy and I don't have to count anything when i make one :) We'll see how well I do tomorrow morning when I go weigh in ... wish me luck ladies!!! Only real problem I've found this week is that after work I've been almost starving. Doing a lot more physical work right now then I normaly do so I think I may have to eat something more filling than a chicken salad for lunch. Couple questions for you ladies ... what is the Dr. Oz book that you are all talking about??? You have perked my intrest. And how do you get all those cute little smiles and things on your posts??? |
Good Morning Chicks! Sorry to have so little time to spend with all of you these last two days. Today will be more of the same. We have a confirmation and a party today for my oldest Great Niece. Party......party....party! My Sister's kids are cooking corned beef/cabbage/irish soda bread today since my Sister/BIL will be married for 46 years tomorrow. Isn't that SO impressive? My Sister is only going to be 65 this year. Babies they were! Anywho.......I stayed up late and slept late and now have to get my butt in gear to get things planned for meals for tomorrow so Jim can go to the store. Fortunately, I got the present yesterday.
I hope you all have great on program days. I'll have fruit and Core pasta salad today but the meat will probably be not Core. I don't think corned beef or beef brisket are Core. There's no sauce on anything so maybe I'll just have a little bit if it looks lean. The day here looks beautiful but is FREEZING! I hope it's great where you are too! |
Morning all:
WELL, we're having snow here in Toronto! I didn't measure it or listen to the news, but it was a lot. It was the light and fluffy kind, and is melting quickly in the bright sunshine that has arrived. I didn't go to bed at 7PM, as I had threatened, but I hit the couch and didn't move! Then, I read and went to sleep, sleeping very well for a change. We've been out to eat and to Home Depot to adjust the color of the paint we're using for LR/DR area. I was so light, it looked stark white. Now, it's a little peachy, which will be fine. Also, I think that I won't eat anymore today except for fruit, yogurt and salad. I went through the breakfast buffet line this morning and had more than enough. I'm spending the afternoon cleaning the house. It hasn't been clean in ages, it seems to me. COCO, I hope your DH gets to the Dr. if he doesn't improve. Continual headaches and stomach aches don't sound too good. Michelle, glad to hear that you feel at home already....it's really a nice group of people here. Vickie, have fun! Later, Rhonda |
Hello again everyone.
Well today was my weigh-in-day. Didn't do just too bad. I lost 0.8lbs which I am just fine with. Any loss is a good loss right? Went out to a movie last night and indulged just a little. Had about 2/3 of a small bag a popcorn and a handfull of my friends reeses peices. I have that small problem of being in the habbit that when I go to a movie it just doesn't feel right without the popcorn ... if only you could bring your own from home :corn: Anyway tonight will be a bit of a challenge. Going out for dinner and drinks at a pub with some friends to celebrate St. Patties day  Hope everyone else has a good St. Patties day!!! Now it's off to the gym to do my 60min of cardio :woops: http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt...EoE/weight.png |

HAPPY ST PATTIES DAY EVERYONE
Hope everyone has had a good day. We didnt get into too much today. Hubby is feeling better today. NO HEADACHES!! YEAH!! We went to see my Aunt. She seemed to be down today. So we took her some chinese. She likes that. Seemed to cheer her up some. We had some snow this morn. And then it finally cleared up this afternoon. But was kinda cold. The wind was cold. The kind where it goes right through you. Not sure what the weather is to be tomorrow. Well I am going to get off here for now. Just wanted to say "HI" to everyone. Going to go snuggle with hubby. Today is our anniversary. So everyone have a great evening. Thinking of all of you. coco P.S. I baked some chicken. And it wasnt too bad. I took Paul Newmans. Pineapple Salsa. and put that over the chicken. I also added a can of diced tomato's. and then I put carrots. Lots of those. And just a couple of potatos in there too. And baked until done. It turned out pretty good. My guys liked it. |
:congrat: Coco on your anniversary!
Happy for your weight loss Michelle...enjoy every ounce! I spent a lot of money this afternoon. The upstairs toilet is leaking so we decided that it was time to start working on that bathroom. I bought a toilet, a sink, and new hardware for the sink, tub and shower. Now, to do the work! It will look nice and should be fine for when we sell in two years. I've done very well with restricting my eating for the rest of today after the buffet breakfast (and I was not too crazy with that). I've only eaten fruit, salad, lf dressing and four shrimp. I haven't had much exercise unless you count wandering around stores! Take care all, Rhonda |
Good Morning Chicks! I'm going to go have some lovely breakfast and then I'll try to be back after that to catch up. I've got to make a grocery list and then get started on baking some cookies to mail to Cindy's Son at school. I'll need to be here with all of you to distract myself from the smell of chocolate chip pecan cookies!
We had a great time at the party but I didn't eat very well. Thank goodness tomorrow's rebirth is right around the corner! I'll be back later. |
Good Morning:
I slept for hours and hours and am now almost frantic about all the work I have to do. Of course, if I had not slept, I'd be physically tired as well as emotionally strung out. The details are boring, but I've got two major work projects hanging over my head, the house is the mess that houses get into when you're trying improve their looks, and I'm fed up PAST the gills. I'm thinking that I'm owed a meltdown, but they never seem to work for me! So, today I'm going to go see MIL in the hospital and try to make some progress on all that stuff hanging over me. I will NOT eat from stress! Rhonda |
Coco - Happy Anniversary (a day late).
Michelle - congrats on the loss. Every loss counts. Rhonda - Hope you can stay away from the eating. Vicki - Good luck starting over on monday. Remember the past is past and there's nothing we can do about it. :) Yesterday was so/so. Not doing well on the 2-3 hour eating at all. I went to my sil for the massive b-day thing, and there was nothing good for you to eat except the antipasta salad that I'd brought. Well I couldn't eat just that :( So I ate what I shouldn't have and today my tummy is telling me I don't eat fatty foods any more.....Oh well one day will not brake me. Well gotta go finish cleaning the kitchen, didn't have time the last couple of days so it was pretty scary  Have a great day everyone. -Tech |
So far, so good. Have spent the afternoon running around town visiting my ex's family members...and NOT eating or drinking what I shouldn't.
