  • The old 160's thread hasn't been commented on in ages and it's buried so I'm just starting a new one.

    Hello 160's!

I'm in the 160s by just a hair, I saw 169.8 yesterday and today. I might have a bounce yet but for now I've made it here!
  • Congrats on hitting 169. I think I'm finally out of the 170s for good and hope to make it through the 160s in a lot less time. I've been trying to learn more about balancing hormones and introducing new foods in an attempt to avoid any further stalling. Will it work? Only time will tell.

  • Maui you are getting super close to your goal! That's awesome! I hope you'll still lurk around from time to time. .
  • Oh I'm not going anywhere. I'm sounding stuck in the upper 160s. And 160 isn't my final goal anyway, just a preliminary.
  • Ok, I imagine it will take us all a while. The less we weigh, the harder to drop the scale. I imagine I won't be in this group til august/September. Keep it up!
  • 169.4 still.

Yeah, this is gonna take awhile.
  • Plateau's suck! I think that's why I'm aiming so gradual now about a lb a week weight loss goal. If that. I like eating my 2000 calorie diet and don't want to decrease it. that's where the height advantage comes in, we get to eat more!
I had to buy new scrubs and one of the tops is a small! I've never worn that size before!
  • Wow that's exciting Nicki. I think I have a few smalls in shirts as well, but I don't know that they'd fit currently.
I have no idea how many calories I eat per day, I don't track them. I eat 3 meals and 1 or 2 snacks, nothing processed, no wheat, nothing but water to drink, no junk no sugar that isn't naturally occurring in the food. Seems to work without having to crunch numbers which makes me happy. I just eat normal stuff like oatmeal, eggs, blueberries, peanut butter (the real kind), fish and poultry, apples, kiwi, lots of veg etc.

    168.8
  • Out of curiosity I opened MFP and did an average day's calories and it seems like I'm right around 1700. Probably a little more because some things I'm pretty sure I slightly underestimated.
  • So you should be good then. I tracked calories to help me be aware of how much is in food. Every once in a while I'll guesstimate because I know I won't do it forever. I just need to get really good at guessing, reach my goal then readjust to figure out maintenance. Once I get the hang of that I can stop using these programs.
  • If I try to track calories I get frustrated and quit and gain. It's just not for everyone, and I refuse to spend the rest of my life carrying around some sort of calorie counting device. I've learned enough about food now that I know if I stick to good foods (veg, fruit, lean meat, no junk) that I can manage quantities.

    168.2
  • Hi there! I finally bought a scale, and looks like this is where i belong now at 169!
  • 167.4

AND, this means I am officially no longer overweight! I am "normal" now. (Though I may bounce "overweight" a couple of times before I get down low enough to be out of that range.)
