  • Thank you for this thread and for keeping track of our progress once again, Joy! I want to lose 6 lbs in the month of June. I won't know what my starting weight for June is until I am able to get home to my own scale and figure it out, compared to what my Dad's scale says, so until I do figure it out, I'll be putting my starting and daily weights in parentheses.

    Goal: Lose 6 lbs
  • I'm excited for this! I had a very stressful year filled with stress eating which has only caused more stress...and the cycle continues.

My current weight is 208.5 and I would like to get under 200. I know it's a big goal to lose 9 pounds in one month but in my experience it's easy to lose weight during the first month. Also I just got a new job where instead of sitting around all day I'll be on my feet for 8 hours a day for 5 days a week so that'll help.

    SW- 208.5
    GW- 199.5
  • Yes, thank you gardnerjoy! It is great to be able to come here and get support or pats on the back or just even chat about everyday things.

This month my goal is -18...yes it is a very high goal but only because I am adding on what I didn't lose in May, so really I will be happy with -10...but officially -18...just in case any extra pounds feel like jumping off my body!
  • I am in for June. I'm pumped. I believe I am going to change things up this month, as I have a week of vacation coming at the end of this month. Soo, I am definitely aiming for 10 pounds this month and I WILL HIT GOAL this month. In any case, looking forward to it. I do also want to set a personal goal of coming here and checking in everyday as that holds me accountable. I tend to veer on my days off of work and do not check in here, so perhaps if I set that goal for myself, it will keep me in line on my days off. Soooo, please give me a quick kick if I miss a day..lol!

    SW: 237
    GW: 227
  • I'd love to join!!!

I've found it so hard to stay on track post-baby, so I'm going to make a goal that I feel confident I can meet. I weighed in at 199.0 this morning, so I'd like to lose 4.1 lbs

    SW: 199.0
    GW: 194.9
  • I want in!

I am just beginning the process of losing about 30 lb that I gained back after a stressful first year of teaching-- and I am getting married in July! I don't expect to meet my ultimate goal by then, but I know that even just making some progress by then will help me to feel awesome. And I'm going to keep going afterward and ultimately focus on maintaining when I get there.

As of this morning, I am 154.1... I'd like to see 144 by the end of June. Is that realistic?

    SW: 154
    GW: 144
  • SW - 169.9
    GW - 164.9
Happy Sunday, everyone!!! Well, I am with you Delphi - I will make goal this month. I want to lose five lbs. I had a box full of clothes that I was wearing this time last year. I have to get back into them! Can't believe I gained 20 pounds in one year. Ugh! Going to family dinner today. My mother in law is making me baked chicken while every one else is chomping on BBQ ribs. I WILL stay on target!!!
  • Thank you Gardenerjoy for the shiny new thread, last challenge was 8 lbs loss, with a goal of 6.2 lbs loss. For the month of June I'm shooting for 6 lbs. loss, I'll consider even 5 lbs a great success.
    SW - 226.2
    GW - 220.2
Wishing us all a happy, healthy and productive month, let's do this!
    ETA -
As of June 2nd I am 226 = .2 down, not much of a loss but I appreciate any weight loss since my calories have been well over 2,000 lately with little to no exercise.
As of June 7th I am 225 =1.2 down, feeling super blessed! 4.8 lbs to goal.
As of June 9th I am 224.8 = 1.4 down, feeling super thankful, 4.6 lbs. to goal.
As of June 14 & 15 I am 224.4 lbs. = 1.8 down, 4.2 lbs to goal. I'm happy but feeling a little anxious that I won't meet goal, the weight seemed to be pouring off the past few months, but for whatever reason (probably due to some excess calories & my minute exercise habits ) I haven't been losing as quickly as expected. I am still the lowest I've ever been as an adult, so yay me! *grateful*
As of June 16th I am 222.8 lbs. = 3.4 lbs. down, 2.6 to go to goal, and 2 weeks, so about 1.3 per week, I hope I reach goal by June 30th, if I don't I am okay as long as I'm not heavier than I am now lol.
As of June 17th I am 222.4 lbs. = 3.8 lbs. down, 2.2 to go to goal, and 13 days, I really hope I hit goal! <3 So geeked .
As of June 24th I am 225.2 lbs. = 1 lb. down, and 5 lbs. to get to goal... I've had a couple of binge/overeating days, since that last weigh-in, but this seems to be PMS-related, so it is my prayer that most of what I gained (about 2.8 lbs.) goes away when my TOM kicks in later this week/beginning of next week. From where I am it doesn't look like I'll make my goal, but all hope is not lost, stranger things have happened .
As of June 26th I am 222.6 lbs. = 3.6 lbs. down, 2.4 to go to goal, and 4 days, I really hope I hit goal! <3 So geeked .
As of June 30th I am 222.4 lbs. = 3.8 down. Didn't meet goal by 2.2 lbs. and I am actually ok w/that, I am so incredibly thankful to be where I am, the me 6 months ago would be so happy w/how far I've come . God bless us all, let's keep going!
  • My June Goal: Back to where I was Minus another 3.
    (...and try to stay positive...)
  • My goal for June is to lose 12 pounds. I'm hoping to knock that out pretty easily since I'm just getting started, but my last few rounds of weight loss didn't have the same beginners whoosh I used to get in my younger days, so I'm trying to keep it realistic.

    SW: 336.4
    GW: 324.4
  • Leah, glad to see you back!
Cakegirl, wow, that is a high goal! Wishing you the best!
Delphi, I love that you are making checking in daily a part of your goal! Smart!
srjph, congrats on the baby! Good to have you join us!
MrsT15, Best wishes on your upcoming nuptials! And yes, 10 lbs is possible, especially if you're just starting out, but it will depend on your metabolism and how much water weight you're have to shed. Pretty much all diets begin with a "whoosh" of water weight. Good luck!
Boating, you'll get back there before you know it! Great job on eating chicken while others are eating ribs!
Candid, 6 lbs is a great goal! You can do it!
SeeMyFeet, we're here for you! What is 'where you used to be"?
Aclai, good luck! Glad you're joining us!
  • Loved this last year as I was here and had great success until I started working and got totally derailed. .

I'm at 253.6. I would like to get to 245. So, 8.6 pounds. Sounds like a lot, but I'm just at the beginning and if history repeats, I'll drop quickly this first wee bit.

    Thanks for doing this!
  • Thanks Jacqui! It's good to be back. I always did my best when I came on here for challenges and check-ins.
  • Hello!
Today I weighed in at 184.2 pounds (my lowest weigh in was a few days ago at 182.0). By July 1, my goal is to weigh 170lbs--which is 14.2/ 12 lbs. Now that I'm back from college I have a lot more time for exercise!
