  • We need to keep this thread going because we still need support!
  • I am finishing up week 4 and everything seems to be going well. I am losing weight but I struggle on the weekends. I have not cheated but not being on a schedule really makes things hard. I just need to be more prepared like having my salads ready in the frig. This program has opened my eyes to what bad eating I have done in the past. The future looks bright...

Weekends were always hard for me as well. I try to prep a very large mixed salad that'll last me a few days. I also try to prep celery, peppers, etc to munch on.
  • I try to make weekends a treat for me to make it easier.

My first meal is usually around 11 or 12, so I have lunch. 1 whole egg and 3 egg whites scrambled, with 2 cups sautéed zucchini. Dinner is usually steak and asparagus (yum!), and I'll have my remaining 2 packets as desserty snacks when I'm hungry.

    I love IP weekends!
  • Hello ladies,

I hope your diet is going well! I come to say that despite taking a week off and eating pizza, ribs and frozen yogurt (I had an emergency surgery and was advised to stop the diet for a little while) I still am on track and losing. I lost about 15 lb in a little over a month and one week off during this time!!! Since Monday I have been back on 100% compliance with the diet and excited to lose more weight.

I have less appetite each day more I wonder if it is because of the meds or the diet. Has anybody had any difficulty to eat all the food we are supposed to in this diet? The other day I could not finish my dinner or lunch. I still don't feel like eating much but today I managed to eat all my lunch.

A few weeks into IP, I started having zero appetite. Just finishing breakfast was a struggle.

Now I seem to have days that that I have zero appetite mingled with days that I'm ravenous.

If I'm super hungry, I tend to eat heavier packets, and if I'm not hungry at all, I have lighter packets. (I still bear in mind 2 unrestricteds and 1 restricted in both cases.)

It can be a struggle to finish all your meals, but do the best you can!
  • Re: The hungries/not hungry:
Ketosis helps lower your appetite (short answer), but every once in a while you can be very hungry (you'll probably have a whoosh down in weight very soon). When you are very hungry go for the packets that feel most like filling food for you, eat lots of free veggies, and use lots of the flavourful add-ons we are allowed in P1 - hot sauces, mustards, vinegars, Bragg's aminos or soy sauce, spices. Treat yourself to hot herbal teas with yummy flavours (or if you are in a hot place, they make awesome unsweetened ice teas - if you prepare them the day before).
If you need to on non-hungry days, split your protein for your dinner up and have some of it at lunch. Still works well on program. Choose lighter feeling veggies for your meals; instead of broccoli & cauliflower use celery, cucumbers, and raw mushrooms for instance.

  • Very excited that I got a ticker!!!
  • Quote: Very excited that I got a ticker!!!
Whoo! And look at you, halfway there!
  • Good morning, all! I had my fourth weigh-in today and lost 3 lbs! My scale had not budged all week but luckily it dropped today. Good thing, or that would have been a bummer. I'm a slow loser so I'm happy with the amount! I feel like the little train who could!
  • Congrats all on the weight losses (every bit counts!) and on the new ticker!

  • Lost another 3 pounds this week! Super excited!!! This week should be less filled with activities and tempting issues so I am hoping for a good week!!!!
  • Started March 17
I started March 17! I have lost 20 pounds! It is amazing! I still need encouragement, I have the habit of falling off the wagon when I'm feeling good!
  • Here's some encouragement for the March folks:-

Did you know that when you put excess carbs into your mouth, it raises your blood sugar level? That means your body puts out insulin, which is your body's way of deciding to store all excess as fat!!!!

So, next time you are tempted to eat that treat instead of having a glass of water or a salad of your freely allowed items .... stop and consider whether you want to be storing fat or burning it.

I know you Marchies can do this. If I can get to almost 100lbs down, anyone can.
