    Yay!
This is my first challenge but I'm pretty sure we can do what we want.
I'm obsessed with weighing so will probably check in every day.

haha I know what you mean... I am guilty of weighing myself everyday! Like just today- I gained 2 pounds! I know it is just water weight... but seeing that number go up instead of down was really frustrating/upsetting!
  • Exactly!
But same time it motivates me too..
Probably would be nice to check in every day anyway to keep ourselves on track and not in the bottom of a nutella jar
  • Ok, lets go!
    183.4 lbs starting weight.

Plan for today: An hour of cardio in the gym (c25k+elliptical+rowing) and 20 minutes of 30 day shred in the evening.
    Eat maximum of 1500 calories.
    Hopefully I will survive.

We can lose those 5 pounds, good luck everyone! x
  • Happy Tax Day!

    SW 151.8
    GW 146.8

    4/15: 151.8
  • Why not. I'm in. I need the encouragement and support. I did my 45 minutes of cardio this morning before work, so I just need to maintain my calories and hopefully pick up a good deficit today. If I can just get through work today without pulling my hair out, I'll be golden.

  • Happy second day!

Hope everyone are doing well, I put our goals on top of this thread and will update with our successes when we have them!!

I had a good day yesterday.
Did my day 2 of 30day shred (It hurts now everywhere!)
Went to gym on my bike and did a big round (about 30 mins cycling)
    35 mins of c25k week 6
    10 mins of elliptical
    bike home 10 mins
5k biking next to my bf when he was running

Calories stayed under 1500 so all good!

Won't have such active day today, will try to do the 30 day shred.
Scales were 183.2 - so a bit less!

    Hi Delphi!

What kind of cardio do you do? Running or gym or at home?
Hope you had a successful day! x
  • Morning Folks!

poppadum ~ Actually, I am doing cardio from myfitnesscoach. Its actually a game for the Wii (remember those things), and I walk/run on the treadmill at home, out at our local greenway when the weather is nice and was using the track at our civic center in town, but thats mainly during the winter months. It is just too darn beautiful outside to be walking/running indoors. I used to love to run but over the past 5 years, I just re-packed on 100 lbs and well...here I am. In any case, whats been working for you?

Well I am pleased that I finally saw movement on my scale this morning and was just thrilled. My progress has been slow since I re-started in January and nursing a back injury...but things are finally starting to turn full circle. I'll give myself a good ol pat on the back and have yet another on-plan day. Sure hope you guys do as well.

    So happy for you!!!
2lbs gone, amazing! This really motivates me to stay on my track and try harder

I always wanted to get wii too, but I'm such a giver upper, thought it's not worth the money in the end.

It seems like exercise has nothing to do with my weight loss, since I started 8 weeks ago, I haven't lost a pound! I always only lose with eating around 1200 calories. But I think I was "forgetting" to log some foods because I felt more hungry when I did go running or to the gym. But I think I am starting to get over it so hopefully will see some results soon.

I'm definitely fitter than I used to be. First I couldn't run for 60 seconds, but on Saturday I ran for 20 minutes! Really liking the couch to 5k.

One day at a time we can do it!!
    Seriously well done!!
  • I think that is so true. I believe that has been my problem. I think my calorie deficit everyday has just been too small. When you are only getting a 200 calorie deficit a day, it can take forever to lose one pound. And for me, that would have been okay but I have a wedding dress to buy and a man to marry in 11 months, so I am a little extra motivated and that clock is ticking. LOL!

Good luck on the C25K. I'm sure you will pick up that endurance quickly. You just need a good pair of socks and shoes and you are golden.
