  • Day 1

I posted earlier today about my issues of procrastination and making excuses not to workout...or maybe make bad eating choices here.

Well I can proudly say I got home and had a healthy snack, and worked out BEFORE opening my laptop... baby steps...

Today, Shaun T25 Cardio with a little HIIT weights and situps.....375 calories burned.

Now, I feel like a sandbag. It's easy to forget how badly you are out of shape when you haven't done a legit workout in months. Walking is one thing, this is just painful. I am embarrassed and I feel like those 25 minutes were the longest 25 of my LIFE, (almost) but it didn't help I had to stop every few minutes to get my heart rate to go down.

I forgot how horrible the first 2 weeks of a fitness routine is after months of serenity. The pain of fatigued muscles, immediate exhaustion, and the soreness..........ugh. Here we go again.

    Total Estimated Calories 935
  • Day 2

Nothing like restarting a workout program than your entire body being sore.

Despite being sore my I got my hubby out for some mountain biking. It took him awhile to fix the old Walmart bike, but he got it going good enough (I am trying to convince him to get a new one!)

So I ended up burning a mere 200 calories. I also did about 12 minutes of HIIT at work, the Kenpo upper body.

    Weight was 158.8

    Total Estimated calories 1360
  • Day 3

PAIN pain pain pain....well soreness. I hate being sore. I haven't even lifted weights and that makes it even worse! Somehow Shaun T raped my calves with that cardio workout the first day...

For exercise I did a good hour hike up and down a small mountain. According to Edomodo I burned 665 calories (was not using HRM). Not sure how it came to that but I will cut that number in half to ensure a good calorie count. Boy did my calves feel that though! Grr!

So at the end of the day all calories added and subtracted it was 1350.

I hate calorie counting, but it is the best way to keep me accountable.

    Weight 158.0
  • You're doing great so far! Keep it up.
  • Quote: You're doing great so far! Keep it up.
    thank you!
  • Day 4

To get on board with all of this I am posting my original stats from 2 years ago...before and after the p90x program.

    Original Stats.......

    Weigh In.......157

    Belly- 37 inches
    Upper abs- 30 1/2 inches
    ***- 42 inches
    Arm- 12 inches
    Mid Thigh- 23 1/2 inches

    ______________________________

    New Stats (POST P90X------2012)

    Weight............144.2.............12.8 lbs lost

    Belly................34 inches 3 inches down
    Upper Abs.........29 1/2 inches 1 inch down
    ***.................39 1/2 inches 2.5 inches down
    Arm..................11 1/2 inches 1/2 inch down
    Thigh................21 1/2 inches 2 inches down
Hip...................36 inches 3/4 inch down from mid measurement

OK, now for the depressing part...it is January 7th 2015 and here are my current stats....

    Belly- 36.5
    Upper Abs- 30.25
    A$$-42.5
    Arm-12.5
    Mid Thigh-25
    Hip-39

Weight as of this morning is 155.2 (I think I already lost a good pound or so since starting, unless my body is playing mean tricks on me....)

SO there you have it...the depressing truth, numbers don't lie folks. Funny part is it seems as though my fat has dispersed differently than before...like my thighs are bigger, and my arms. Guess that's aging for ya.

So all the more motivation to keep up!

For Day 4 I weighed in at 157, worked out about 630 calories with a 4 mile walk (with over 30 lbs of extra equipment) When my husband got home we did Shaun T Cardio. Did some HIIT abbs.... far more effective in the time given LOL.

    Total Net Calories - 1170

So anyways my body is finally feeling better. Calves are still somewhat sore, but nothing like before. I think tonight we are doing chest and back soooo round #2 of PAIN and SORENESS! Gah!
  • Day 5

We did some quick HIIT and then did P90x Chest and Shoulders....oofta. I forgot how much Tony Horton talks though! That guy never shuts up! LOL...so he gives you long breaks, we skipped some of the breaks and did some cardio in between. Burned 400 calories with everything

Leaving me with a Net Calorie Intake of 800.
  • Day 6.....155 lbs (Slept in)

Today I did about 10 minutes of HIIT plyo. When my hubby got home we did the Kenpo X workout. Burned about 400 calories. Boy did my arms hurt from the Arms and Back workout.....bah.

    Total Net Intake: 1050
  • Day 7 - 155.2 lbs

I did about 40 mins on the elliptical. Then we did about 40 minutes of HIIT legs...burned 485

    Net Calorie total: 1070

IT is way too easy to eat those back!
  • Day 8 - 155.6 lbs.

Well cheat day today. I drank the majority of my calories and we took our niece to Ghengas Grill for her birthday. Very tasty. I didn't eat too horribly, but again the beer gets ya!

I did do about an hour walk at work, more less to help my legs recover from the day before.
  • Day 9 158.4 what a night of drinking will do....

So we took it pretty easy today. We did a four mile walk which ended up only burning about 225 NET calories after an 1 and 15 minutes. I was hoping for more. Alas, better than nothing!

So a total net calorie intake of 1225.
  • Day 10 156.4 lbs

We did T25 cardio followed by some arms/shoulders HIIT and abs! 350 calories burned.

    Total of 960 NET calories.

On the bright side I can tell the exercises are already getting a little easier!
  • Day 11 - 155.4 lbs

We did T25 Speed 1.0. Did a little HIIT Plyo before. -300 calories

Daily NET total is 1260 calories.
  • Day 11 - 155 lbs

We did P90x Chest, Shoulders, and Tris....plus ab Ripper X -300

    total NET calories 1070
  • Day 12 - 155.6 lbs

We just did a quick T25 cardio. Burned 260.

    NET intake was 1005

I am starting to scratch my head as I have not lost any real weight since starting. I don't know if it is water retention or what. I have been counting every calorie...overestimating what I eat and underestimating what I burn...including taking out the RMI calories while exercising.

On the other note I have had flank pain on my left side the last two days. I tested for a UTI at home, nothing. Got a little better at night but still feel like something is off.
