  • I reached goal in september but then i ate a lot and went back to 80 kg, which is not that bad (only 0.1 kg over my goal). My goal for october is to get to 77. This is quite ambitious to ( is it "to" or "for" ? ) me, so wish me luck, ladies!

Yesterday i tried on some old jeans and they actually fit. Well, they are tight as ****, but i can zip up and walk without feeling too much pain! Lol!
  • I will try 2# in October. Target = 204

    Start 9/30 = 206
    October 3 =
    10/10 =
    10/17 =

  • Quote: I'm not making Sept. Goal unless I lost 6 lbs. today...
I friggin' love this kelijpa! I'm right there with you sister!

I'm shooting for 8 in October!
  • OKay I am going to reach for 10 lbs this month.

    Good luck everyone....
  • I'm in!! My goal is to get to 189.

    Start weight: 195.4
    Goal weight: 189.0
    Pounds to go: 5.4

I might have been more ambitious but I'm recovering from a severe ankle sprain and am having trouble adjusting my workouts. But I'm not giving up!

    I'm excited for this!!!
  • SW: 80 kg
    GW: 77 kg

    10/01 = 80

I'm going through some "hungry days". Those days make me want to dive into ice cream and eat tons of everything greasy and salty. Ugh! I'll try to maintain while i feel this way because i believe my mind needs a little rest from losing for a few days. Do any of you get this?
  • SW: 135.6
    GW: 132.x

    10/1: 135.0
  • 10/1 - 165.2
    GW - 159

Marina - I have those "hungry days" too, where EVERYTHING bad sounds soooo good. Hang in there!!! Sending you some dust!

Glad to see everyone on here - I'm grateful for your energy and support on this thread!

Today is starting off with a challenge. I am having the in laws over for dinner tonight. I made lasagna, that just has to be popped into the oven. Putting in my WW points for the day to make sure I don't go over. With them coming over, not sure when I'll get to exercise between work and dinner...maybe I'll get a walk in when they leave.

    Have a great day, everyone!
  • SW: 189.6
    GW: 179

    10/1: 189.6

This is overly ambitious. I've never lost 10 pounds in a month, but I already had my goal set as 179 by Halloween so I will try! And adjust as we get closer...sigh. I think my alternate goal would be to at least reach 182.6 (50 pounds lost).
  • SW:254.4
    GW:244.4

    10/01 254.4

I am changing my goal from 15 lbs to 10 lbs. I got on a roll and lost a lot of weight in September and I became very ill the last few days. I am going to take it a bit slower and healthier.

Everyone, KEEP WRITING!!! I come here to keep me from going OP. Your words of good and bad help me to maintain

From your Sept post of your mother...

Too bad we can't choose our parents eh? I think you have a good handle on it though

"I am changing my goal from 15 lbs to 10 lbs. I got on a roll and lost a lot of weight in September and I became very ill the last few days. I am going to take it a bit slower and healthier."

VERY good idea Sally, placing health as number one !! It is easier to lose more weight in the first month or two, I like you tried to overdo it when I started. Then I learned that I MUST eat enough of the proper foods/calories or I would suffer for it by not feeling right plus the starting to fight hunger. Being hungry is NOT good. The body and mind both react to that. The body by not feeling right, lack of ambition, sleepiness, mentally draggy, and weakness. The mind gets torn between the desire to get that fat off rapidly and not wanting to feel "like this." You made the right decision go make health number one. And now you are on that slippery slope of finding the right balance. Good luck with it, you will figure it out. I am still trying to get the balance just right myself. But two things I did learn, to not allow myself to get too hungry, that sets off a binge trying to get rid of that hungry feeling.

Just a few weeks ago I had gone almost all day without eating hardly any at all by 2 PM. I was planning on eating but got a work call so I got ready and left to work. It should have been a very short electrical service call but it turned out I spent three hours there and by that time I was feeling exceedingly hungry. We stopped at the grocery store on the way home, as was usual when I have been in town working and I bought a fried breast of chicken to eat to get rid of that hunger. But the deed had been done, I had a hunger that just would not go away. I ate that breast and drank some buttermilk which was more calories than I would have eaten to take care of it. But I could not cure that hunger. After I got home I continued eating... I added it up when all was done some hours later, I had taken in over 3500 calories and had been getting by easily with less than a thousand. I vowed to not let myself get that hungry again no matter what.

A little note here.... With my "diet plan" which is simply to eat healthy foods of whatever I want but staying up with the calories and keeping inside of my calorie "allowance" for the week/month. I do not "go off" my diet as I do not have one, so after a binge like that it is back to eating as I was. No such thing as "going off my diet." But that is what works for me.

Eating more often of foods that leave you "not hungry" yet are not excessive in calories plus learning the difference between "needing to eat" and "wanting to eat" while at the same time not allowing oneself to get too hungry is the ticket. And that, my dear, is a difficult but worthwhile objective. I do not have it whipped entirely myself but I am trying.

That was for you also Jill. And anyone else that can use it. And frankly, it is a reminder to myself also.

And a little tip also.... many times it feels like I need to eat but it is only that I need to take in some water. Needing water can often manifest itself as feeling like needing to eat.
