Have you noticed that before the 3rd or 4th hit she says,"I have an announcement in about a min. and a half" and then she never makes it? What's with that?
I am on a 3 day field trip with some of my students who have made a project that they are presenting. Luckily it is in my home town so I can be home and exercise, eat breakfast and dinner healthy!
Anyway, when you eat lunch you are just sitting with random people. There are only a few schools there, and it is all business people (engineering, etc.) So today at lunch we were eating dessert and someone said they were going to walk around the convention center to walk off their dessert. And this man at the table said "Have you ever heard of HIIT?" and he pronounced it "H I I T", instead of saying "hit". Everyone (except me!) said no. Of course these last 5 months of exercising are the first I've exercised in 23 years, lol.
Anyway, he explained that you raise your heart rate for 30 seconds and you only have to do this 3 times in a session and 3 times a week and your blood levels will get in really good shape. (I didn't ask which blood levels). I haven't had my blood tested since May when I was told I was obese but my levels were all fine at that time (shockingly, since I had been eating candy every day!) I am going to wait until I am in a normal BMI range before I go back to doctor again. Of course, I won't be able to tell if the HIIT did it or the exercise, or healthy eating.
Anyway my point of this long-winded message is that he said 30 seconds! We all felt like it was too short. Or I did, anyway!
