40-something St. Patrick's Day challenge

  • Count me in for May Day too! I'm not weighing tomorrow though--I drank enough sangria I to float a small ship on then hit the chips and cookies at my happy hour party.
  • I actually say 156 on the scale this morning!! It wasn't my official first-thing weigh in, though, so I'm not counting it; just hoping to see it again tomorrow AM!

    (Ok, yeah, I'm nuts, and weigh multiple times per day. Pretty much every time I change my clothes)
  • 2FatCats I will have to keep all your recipes in mind for when I come back; they sound great! I have never tried cooking with protein powder. I do use a whey powder in smoothies a couple times a week; one son loves them, the other won't come near them.
  • Hi everybody...Yowza, almost another lb down..this fasting this is awesome.....I am eating two meals a day instead of three and not grazing and snacking all day long....it is working and I don't feel weak. I get hungry at night but I don't think it is hunger, just boredom and my body used to snacking at night...I am very careful that when I DO eat that I eat healthy and keep it low carb. If I keep this up I may actually make some progress here.......Didn't even buy the FAST DIET book yet and wondering if I even need it. Today I'm going shopping with a friend to buy a dress that she needs for a shower..kids are with their Dad so I have time on my hands....Hope I can keep from buying a "snack" at the mall, those Auntie Pretzels are always calling my name...LOL....Worse case scenario I will buy coffee from starbucks and keep my hands busy that way......tonight I may go out and if I do I plan on getting vodka with diet coke, I am not sure what the most low calorie thing to do is, does anyone know how many calories in a glass of wine????

    I weighed in today at 157.5, so I met my goal

    This will be my last time checking in until after my trip. I'm feeling excited and anxious, all in one. Talk to you at the end of the month!

    Well, I'm up 2 pounds in 2 days, but I still made goal! I think it's probably water (or sangria) with PMS thrown in.

    Well, I made no progress on this challenge, but at least I ended where I started. I had hoped that this month would be a time of progressive weight loss, but instead I kept bouncing back up and had to spend my time re-losing the same few pounds to get back to my starting weight.

    Anyway, congratulations to those of you who reached or surpassed your goals!

    To those of us who didn't accomplish what we set out to do - there's always May Day! Count me in for the next challenge!
