  • Hey guys! Just wondering- How often do you guys work out?
I try to hit the gym 6 days a week- and do cardio everyday and cardio and weights every other day. I don't beat myself up if I miss a day though because sometimes life just happens.
  • Unless I have something going on Saturday for cardio on Arc Machine, Sunday Bodyflow sometimes some cardio, Friday night Zumba, then maybe 2 and if not run down 3 other nights a week. Depending on how the week goes might do weights instead of cardio or with cardio a few times a week. Cardio is usually 60 minutes occasionally 45 or 30 if crunched for time. Once I'm closer to goal will most likely reduce the length of time in the cardio sessions and have a more structured weight training plan.
  • I work-out everyday and split my time up! I go in the morning for 1 hr and 30 mins and 1hr and 40 mins at night.

wow that's a lot! Good for you! I'm trying to work up to 1.5 hours of cardio everyday, but so far I find I'm just completely exhausted after 1 hour!
  • In January I worked out everyday, and 27 of those days I had 2 workouts.

    That's a pretty typical month....
  • 5-6 days a week. Sometimes twice a day.
  • I try to do every day, just cardio right now, can't lift weights at the moment. If I take a day off it screws me up and I want another day off. But sometimes I end up missing a day like every couple of weeks. I am so scared about reaching maintenance and cutting down to 3-4 days a week. I might fudge my maintenance up. But at the same time I look forward to having a break some days.
Oh I ride my elliptical for around 45 mins or 500-600 cals burned, which ever comes first.
  • I try to do something every day, but make sure one of the days is pretty light - and sometimes nothing! This week I didn't do anything on Friday or Saturday, but I have a cold.
  • I walk every day but I think Im gonna start walking 2 hours a day, Not an hour after another but like Yesterday I walked from 4 pm to 5 pm and then I walk again 8 pm to 9 pm or it might of been 9 pm to 10 pm it was one of the those.
  • I do something every single day, but it varies. I make sure to get 10,000+ steps a day. Twice a week I'm now starting to do kettlebell workouts, which are super intense. I walk my dog a lot and I try to hike and walk hills a few times a week. I also do the elliptical sometimes, but only for 30 minutes. I believe it all adds up and makes a difference but I have definitely increased my exercise as I've lost more weight.
  • I do something every day and sometimes twice a day. My lifting sessions are 3 - 4 times per week and I do cardio (power walking/jogging intervals or Walk Away The Pounds videos about 4 - 5 times per week). I play volleyball, softball, swim and love Pilates and ice skaking. I'm one active chick!
  • My running program is 4 times a week. I try to go to a crossfit class 3 times a week. And I really should do additional strength training to keep my runners knees at bay - 3 times a week. Plus any additional walks or hikes I want to throw in there.

That usually works out to at least one activity a day, and often two a day. But I do slack with the additional strength training, and will throw a day off in there if I'm feeling like I need it.

I do worry about giving my body enough rest.
  • I workout 3 times a week for 2 to 3 hours of intense weight lifting with 30 minutes of cardio. On the weekend, I go hiking and this usually lasts for 3 hours.

I see a lot of people here exercise all day, which is great. However, I find that I need at least a full rest between my workouts or I'm just too fatigued to lift.
  • I try my very best to workout at least 5-7 days a week (at the gym), I get out to walk my dog several times a day every day so that's exercise there as well.
  • 5 days a week.
