I have been so cold on this diet. My hubby and son were complaining because I turned the heat up so bad they were sweating. Best thing I did is buy Bearpaw shearling lined boots (caught them on sale at Macy's) and Patagonia thermals. The boots are made to be worn sockless, so I wear them all day and when the feet feel warm, it's lots easier for the rest of me to feel warm. I've even worn them to bed a few nites. Yes, I did!
Plus the patagonia thermals are very light weight and can be worn under jeans, regular clothes. And the ladies choices are pretty. Both were well worth the investment for me. I discovered patagonia thermals when my hubby was working in the Kyrgyzstan mountains in winter and asked me to send him warm things. I asked the REI folks what they recommended for max warm, ease of wear. They come in different weights, light, mid, expedition, but all were light to wear. My husband said they were incredible.
Ishbel-How do you do it?!! I am cold and I'm in balmy Louisiana!
