1 year, 100 pounds

  • Lets do this!!
I cant stand looking at these fat folds on my body anymore. They are holding me back!
I am determined to lose 100 pounds by next November and finally keep this weight off for good!

Now wheres a good place to keep a weight loss diary for my thoughts? lol
  • Hey there! Here is a great place to discuss your thoughts. We are all here trying to do the same thing and that is live a more healthy and active lifestyle. I would like to point out this thread. It's a one year commitment topic and it might be the place for you to actively speak to others who are doing the same thing. Also, you could get yourself a 3FC's blog and write your thoughts and feelings there. To get a blog, follow this link. I would also recommend getting involved in some challenges to help you keep yourself motivated! You can do this, best of luck and I look forward to seeing your around.
  • That's a fantastic goal! You can totally do it!!

There is a quote that I absolutely LOVE, it goes; "A year from now you will wish you had started today."

I hope you keep it in mind as you go on your journey. It will totally get hard, but just do your best and keep at it.

I will also suggest to join some challenges (there was a challenge that started on Oct. 1 to loose 30 pounds in 3 months, and another challenge - Halloween challenge - had just finished... So keep your eyes out for those). There are also exercise challenages that you can easily join late (you set your own targets, even if it's walking for 30 minutes a day, it's whatever you decide, and there's one that just started "Nov/Dec/Jan 90 day exercise challenge"). There are daily weigh in threads, etc. Just have a look through and see what fits.

If and when you do hit a rough patch, I would also suggest to really lean on the community here. We all have those moments when we start heading in the wrong direction and that's when a lot of people stop participating, but the truth is that no one judges here (we ALL get it), so if you do begin to question your motivation, post here and people will respond and stick with you!!

My "name" here, is 1yr2mkovr for precisely the same reason! I'm giving myelf a year to get myself back on track! Good Luck to you!!! I wish you a great journey!!
  • thank you! now i have to get a scale lol
  • That is great! You can do it! I wish you the Best1
  • Good luck! I think I need to finally commit to losing this weight as well :/ Are you following any specific diet or plan?
  • paul mckenna. i checked today and have lost 2 more pounds. i cant have a signature yet, so where do i change my weight?
  • That's fantastic!! Great start! (Totally deserves a carrot!!)

Until you get your signature you can keep updating your weight in the SW/CW/GW part of your sidebar (under your name) which you do by going into "edit your profile" on the main page of your "User CP".

I think, what I did though is I started my tracker long before I got my signature. I went to ticker factory and picked out my design and started traking it, knowing that I'd be able to add it to my signature when I got one (it just make tracking more fun and exciting!!) So if you want to do that, you can. Of course, when you do get your signature you'll have access to the 3fc designs and if you decide that you like those better you can obviously just use one of their by starting a new one. (I also know that some people use Lily Slim trackers, so you might want to check out those too, to see which designs you like best!)

    YAY!
  • Welcome and good luck )
  • 1yr2mkovr I love that quote! It actually makes me sad b/c i joined 3fc a year ago. I feel off the wagon n pretty much maintained the same weight for the whole year... It's sad b/c if i had stuck w it then I could possibly be 100lbs slimmer right now! sigh

At the same time it's really motivating. Sometimes it's hard to think long term but I just have to remember that every little thing I do now is going to pay off in a year! ^_^
  • We can all do this. If not for this forum and the fact that I forced myself to .post my 100 pound, 1 year announcement on facebook, I would already have given up.Checking this site keeps me motivated.
