THE HOBBIT Challenge

  • THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY opens the week of December 10th in much of the world. Tolkien/Middle Earth fans - how about let's do a challenge leading up to the opening?

    I've designed this challenge to run for 16 weeks, through the last full week of December, since the film doesn't open in some markets until that week and it can be nice to have some structure to fall back on during the holidays. You don't have to join at the beginning of the challenge or do all the weeks if that doesn't work for you.

    This challenge has weekly check-ins, although that's just for your benefit. You won't lose points or anything for missing check-ins. You can join the challenge at any time. Your goal can be anything related to your personal health or fitness - it doesn't have to be weight loss. You can check in on whatever day works for you. You can use the template provided below, but you're not obligated to. Everyone is welcome to join.

  • Heck yes, this is the raddest challenge ever. Also, I have never done a challenge so I'm glad my first one can be Hobbit themed.

  • I've never done a challenge, so may I make this my first?

    I like that it is running during some especially difficult months. I find the shortening days and cooler temperatures hard to deal with. Well, I used to deal with them by baking...and eating lots!.

    I will go see the movie as the reward!

  • I would like to join. I have given myself til my birthday to make my ultimate goal ( 2-19-2013). I have a long way to go. Right now I am very unhappy with the way I look. SO I'M GOING TO WORK EXTRA HARD TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT...
