Took control instead of ate

  • Today has been so overwhelming and stressful. My daughter has been a handful and I've been anticipating my husbands upcoming deployment at the end of the month. I so just wanted to eat my husbands fudge pop tarts and veg out. Luckily I came to my senses and decided to go on one of my very brisk walks for about 35 min with my daughter. I am so glad I did, because the cravings are gone. Exercise is really a stress reducer. Ah, just feel so much better. Thought I'd share.
  • oh you poor sweet heart! First of all, I want to thank you from my heart, for your husband's contribution to this country. Second of all, I want to commend you. This has to be very hard, and you did take control of the situation and you handled it in the most awesome way, you did something GOOD for you. Yay, yay, yay!!!
  • I agree. Exercise will take your mind off of cravings and chill you out a little. Good for you! Now just remember this for next time.
  • Aw, thanks so much. That made me feel good. <3 love the ppl on here. Thank you.
  • Aww I'm sorry you are going through all this stress but I am proud of you for not giving in and doing something about it!! good job and beating that craving and taking control!! May you have many more of those!
  • That's great, well done I know it isn't easy so be proud of yourself!
  • Oh, I'm sorry you're going through stressful times!

Your determination and the way you handled cravings is really inspirational. I try to turn to exercising when I'm feeling a bit down, physical activity helps me clear my head and keeps me busy so I don't think about food.

Thanks. I just need to remember to go out and walk instead of turning to food for next time and the times after.
