  • Charlane - Wanted to mention your success as well. I think it's smart the way you see your goals. Great way to stay focused.
  • Ooo, I'm down 2 lbs. from last Sat.

Seriously doubt I will hit my 155 by 2/12/12 goal ... darn Christmas gain ... so I'm aiming for 159 or lower. Four weeks, 5 lbs, totally doable.
  • Stayed on track for 3 days now - next weigh-in is on Monday.
  • Down 4.4 this week, however i gained 4 last week. I will still pat myself on the back as i really lost heart last week, so it is all good.

Hopefully i will make my 240 goal before the end.

Some of you are going through so much and are doing so well, or at least not gaining. I find that so insirational...well done!
  • I'm sorry to not be checking in more often. I've been such a busy bee lately. Today was my nephew's 18th birthday party and...well...let's just say I did not stay on plan. Thankfully, that was the last birthday party in our family until June. Now I can concentrate on getting back on track and STAYING there.

I've decided that I'm going to start counting calories instead of doing high protein. I love how the higher protein diets curb my appetite, especially for sweets, but they are not working for me like they used to. Probably because my calorie count is too high. So I'm going to start keep track.

I'm sorry for not reading up on everyone's posts lately. It's just after midnight and I just wanted to touch base so you guys wouldn't think I fell off the planet. I'll try to get on here tomorrow and catch up.

I hope you are all doing well and staying on your plans.
  • Just stoppin by to say hello =)

Congrats to Lisa, Melody, Charlaine, loose seal, and Tkkoz on your losses! Keep up the good work!

    Welcome Rumple!

Hang in there Claire, Italiannie, and country barbie...

WTG for staying on track, Vicki!!

Sandy- hope life slows down just a bit for you, I don't know how you breathe some days! WHEW! =)
  • Happy (Belated) Weekend!
    How's everyone?

We've had a pretty hefty helping of snow . . . everything looks pretty. Tempted all day to just stay inside and stay cozy.

Good and not great news: No scale reading changes to report. You know the symptoms experienced shortly before waking up to a full-blown cold? That's what the last 2 weeks have felt like. Exercise is dow; felt extremely tired after work. Fortunately have not been gaining weight either.

But tick tock, only a few weeks left until day - time for me to get moving.

Hope everyone is feeling well and motivated.

    Jean
  • Alright so, Tania, Tkkoz, posted something about this in my introduction thread and I was interested. Im in and hope that I get to my goal weight by Valentines!! (hopefully thats all I had to do so far? =P ) Best of luck to everyone!

    Start weight: 316
    Current weight: 316
    Goal weight: 306
  • Hi Everyone!
This is the same post I put in on my daily accountability thread:

Had a fairly good weekend on plan, but the weight is being stubborn. I've been on plan for 5 weeks now and I've lost just under 9lbs. I promised myself I'd be happy with an average weight of 1-2 lbs a week, but you know, it's easy to lose patience. I will continue on, as I really like my plan and it is working. Thinking about weighing in fewer times during the week, instead of daily, as I really am pleased with the overall loss - you know what I'm talking about.

    Anyway.....

    Last Weigh In - 189.8
    Today 189.6
    Valentine Goal - 179

Stay on plan.... stay on plan....
  • Oooh just joined up to this site today! And I fear I maaay be a little too late for this challenge >< But what the heck I'm going to give it a go anyways! ^_^ -- another month to Valentines day! I reckon if I push myself I can shed a good few lbs!!!

    Weight today: 15st 7lbs - 16/01/12
  • CW: 211.9
    GW: 198ish

    Jan 2: 211.2 (-.7)
    Jan 9: 209 (-2.2)
    Jan 16: 206.1 (-2.9)

I'm not quite sure if I will make my Valentine's goal, but I will certainly be close. Keeping the positive attitude. Have a fabulous week all!
  • Thanks for the warm welcome, 40 and Italiannie! Wow, it looks like everyone's doing a great job of persevering through the blah month that is January! Congratulations on all of the losses this week!
Sandy-- It's great that you've decided to get back on track. Good for you, girl! I get where you're coming from as far as high-protein goes. I lost my first 10 lbs doing high-protein, but then (like you) I chose to modify it to lower calorie.
Well, I got off track this weekend and used my first foot surgery and the well-meant-but-unwanted surprise party my friends threw me as an excuse to go off plan. My inner fattie is giggling at the fact that I have a legitimate reason not to step on the scale right now, but I will shut her up with a carrot stick and return to the quest for a hot bod.
  • Still holding at 187. Had a hectic weekend, including my 15th anniversary. So we went out to eat and to the movies. Didn't go all out crazy, so that was good. I worked out 5x last week, which was not easy. I'm alternating between Jillian's 30 day Shred (can only do level 1 at this point) and TurboJam Cardio Party.
  • Hi everyone! I'm just checking in. I haven't checked in. Been SUPER busy. Just started working on Saturday.

Have you tried Zinc lozenges or Zicam mouth spray? I swear by it if I feel a cold coming on. It rarely turns into a full blown cold.

Great weekend for Family Lisa. Terrible, horrible weekend for Healthy Lisa. I learned a lot about my body and how it stores water if I'm not drinking enough. I drank 10 cups a day for two weeks and then went three days with hardly 2 cups. 3 pound gain in one weekend.

It's not my official weigh in day, so I'm taking note of it and moving forward. Hoping it truly is water weight and it falls off within the next few days as I hydrate myself again. I hope everyone else had a great on-program weekend!
