I have been on the Ideal Protein for 5 days now. I can barely eat the meals. I have to literally force myself to eat it. I am never hungry and the though of food makes me feel sick. Right after dinner, I get very very sick and throw up. I am tired all the time and very weak. I am 23 years old and have Celiac disease. Does anyone know why I am feeling this way? :?::(

I have no clue how IP would affect someone with CD. I think it would be best to see your doctor, even if one is available on this board they wont have your complete history like your own doctor and for that reason may render a different opinion. You should see your GP ASAP!

I have celiac also. Perhaps the foods have hidden gluten in them?
Do the packages list all ingredients?

ON the nutritional value sheet I have for IP products (and it's old) 16 of the 38 products are gluten free. Chances are you're getting some gluten from somewhere. But WHERE is your coach in all of this. I'm sure you told her you have celiac disease?

My first thought was gluten, also. Check the ingredients on the package.

Hi - I don't have Celiac Desease but I've been sick - a lot of nausea - wish I could have thrown up. Now today, nausea and diarrhea. I've been taking Emitrol, which helped a lot and finally some Imodium. There is definitely a stomach virus going around in Illinois. DH had it last week with the throwing up. Today, I've only eaten 2 pieces of dry toast - I don't even feel guilty. It is an odd experience not even wanting food!! I have so much to get done before Christmas. Anyway, is it possible you just have this nasty virus? Hope you feel better. The Emitrol has helped me A LOT.
