  • Everyone is doing so awesome!!! Even those that are struggling are reaching out for support...love love love it!!!

This is my first post in this month of giving thanks and I want you all to know that I am very thankful to have found this site and to all of you that inspire me in ways that you will never know. Though we may not always agree with everything everyone thinks/posts, we are all on the same journey and it is awesome to go at it with a group!

I had my 10th WI today and lost 2 more pounds. I have been at 2 for the last 3 weigh ins. I want to hit my goal by Christmas so I need a 3 or 4 in there at some point soon!!! I am going to start an excersize program called Slim in 6. I did it after I had my daughter and lost a lot of weight and never felt stronger. I am hoping for a similar result!

I also got bloodwork done today. They are checking cholesterol and TSH (hypothyroidism). I can't wait to get the results back and see if it has changed since last time!!! My bad chol always runs a bit high...but my good is really high so it evens out.

My skinny jeans are now a little baggy...which makes me a happy girl!!!

Have a wonderful OP day y'all and KEEP ON KEEPIN ON!!!
  • Nice to see all those NSV's!!! And congrats to everyone for another successflul day. To those who struggle, hang in there this program does work.

This week I've discovered that I can cross my legs. First time in 5 years! Oh the little things in life!
  • Had my second WI yesterday 4.2 lbs and 5 inches!!! First WI was 5.8 lbs and 6 inches...I am pretty excited, fitting into clothes I havent worn in a year Recieved an order of WF progucts today it was like Christmas lol
  • Bandsmartin, I think you can safely take Nyquil that comes in capsules, or any brand cold/flu medication in a pill. I think as long as you are avoiding liquid medications you should be OK. There is also a sugar free cough syrups. I hope you feel better. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids.
  • Jenylyn, awesome start! Keep it up!

  • Susiego - it really is the little things - I realized the other night I was sitting in front of the TV with my knees bent up to my chin - I haven't been able to do that in 6 years. I just started laughing.

I have a question for people - does anyone have trouble spots - areas where they aren't losing inches? I am losing like crazy in my core/torso area. My hourglass shape is definitely returning to what it was in my 20s. I've been able to finally start shopping at my favorite store, and have bought some gorgeous sleeveless tops that I can't wait to wear. Problem is my arms are NOT budging. So I can put on one of those tops, but my linebacker arms are still so big it looks like I haven't lost any weight. It's more obvious when I wear long-sleeved fitted tops.

This is really disconcerting - I joined a gym today and hopefully will be able to start this weekend - but what the heck? After 4 months on the diet my arms haven't budged? It doesn't make sense to me. I even lost off my calves which is a miracle. I made my coach re-measure me because I didn't believe her ;-)
  • Quote: thin4me- Thanks for the recommendation for "Lincoln Lawyer". Was on a long distance flight yesterday and didn't recognize any of the movies but remembered that you liked this one. You're right...it was very good. I learn so much from this forum!

    Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it
  • Quote: This has been a great day - not that most of them aren't. Today, for the first time in at least 25 years, I was below 200 lbs., 198.4 to be precise.
    Stay Strong everyone!
Fricken awesome! What a great feeling that must be
  • Quote: This is why I don't try to let anything tempt me or have the want to cheat. I wanted to be in the 200's so bad they could of put anything in front of me and I would not have eaten it. NOTHING taste as good as 200 feels......now I am on my mission to get to my 100lbs so again NOTHING will tempt me!! THEN after I get my 100lbs gone I will be off to my goal which will be I think 38lbs so again NOTHING will get in my way. Its all about your attitude and how you handle things Crack that wipe on yourself and tell yourself OH NO YOU ARE NOT going to CHEAT for 3 minutes of pleasure to your taste buds...its NOT WORTH IT ......ok Just my 2 cents
Wuv - you are 100% correct. Being 49 years old and i think i am starting menopause, it really affected my attitude this past weekend. Damn hormones...lol....even my coach was shocked when i told here, as she said to me you never cheat, she was more devestated than i was...
I am back on the IP band wagon though and more determined than ever to hit the onderland. Consider the whip cracked and thanks for the advice my dear...
