    hey LGW: yes, I've done the program before, and was in the best shape of my adult life, but I stopped...let it all go and learned a very hard lesson. but this time, I started running 66 pounds overweight and with high blood pressure. I went to the doctor today, and my blood pressure is NORMAL. that's right...normal. soooo to make a long story longer, I recommend running for everything it can give you. Confidence, identity, prettier hair, stronger nails, leaner legs, brighter eyes. It transforms your entire body.

    And I'm doing it ...well not alone, because I post on here about every run, and on a c25k thread, and i tell all my family and friends about my weight loss, and anyone who will listen. I don't care, because I need the support, and I'm getting it from people. But no, no trainer. Just have to kick my own butt.

    SO LET's RACE to ONEderland!!

  • hey ladies

    --apologies ahead of time, this is a long confession --

    To many of you that I see are still here strong, you already know... i fell off the wagon. HARD. I had done so well throughout the summer with the help from all of you. Then I got lazy. And pulled the dreadful 'I overindulged this weekend, so I'll just give myself the week to recover before I get on the scale - I don't want to see the up'....and then when I didn't "recover" I delayed the scale again. And again. And Again.

    And then we left for Ireland (DH and I are lucky enough to be studying abroad for the semester !). I feared that I wouldn't be able to keep up the tracking while here, but I kept telling myself I could and I would. This board has people from all over the place, and as long as I had internet I could do it. But, when I had been avoiding the scale prior to leaving, the excuses just kept pushing it out further and more and more excuses added up. And -you know where this is going- now my stomach has expanded further and further and the pounds have added up.

    No matter the number of times I've said I'm starting something tomorrow since being here, i finally started. Last month, I downloaded a c25k trainer onto my phone with intent to start it on Oct 1. It doesn't matter that I started 30 days later, because i started it yesterday.

    And today i'm here. I was hoping that when I came back in here to see a lot of familiar 'faces', and I'm happy to see a bunch of you

    calorie counting with myfitnesspal was great for me, but it's more difficult to do that here (i don't have the app on my phone, don't know calorie amounts). But i'm not going to let that deter me. I'm just going to focus on exercising and checking in with you guys. It helps that in order to get my weight i have to go to the gym I haven't been into the gym here yet so I don't have a new weight...but my guess is I'm back close (if not passed) where I started in June. Anyway, I think just by doing those 2 things, I will automatically make some better choices with food.

    I still want my tattoo, and I'm going to get it. After I lose 100lb total, I'm getting a tattoo representing the C-Note I lost I want to hit that landmark, though my maintenance range will be higher than that (meaning less than a 100lbs). I just know me and know when I do start shrinking significantly, I'll let it stop when I get to a more reasonable weight if I don't have a larger goal in mind.

    OK, well i warned this would be a long, sappy post. Enough of that. I'm ready to be back. I just saw a quote yesterday something to the effect of 'You can't reach for tomorrow if you're holding onto the junk from yesterday.' So I'm doing what I can to let go of the guilt from the past few months and move on, reaching for tomorrow. I'm ready to be back
