Doing something out of the box (comfort zone)!!

  • Today I am doing something that I have not done in 20 years. I am going to the public pool to swim laps with my friend. It is amazing how fear can keep us from doing the things we use to love. I'm tired of living in a box.

Are any of you doing anything out of the box (your comfort) today or this week?
  • Good for you!
No out of the box plans for me right now.
  • I did a 5k last weekend, that is out of the box for me. Coming up in a few weeks a friend of my husband is having a 21st birthday party and invited us. That is way out of the box for me as I feel ashamed and embarrassed being around younger people as they are always so fit. I am hopping to knock off another 20lbs by then.
  • First time to the gym this morning in over 3 years - planning to buy a membership tomorrow
  • I just did!!! I tried on jeans and actually came out of the fitting room (for others to see). By the way, the last really good pair of jeans I owned were a 24W. Today, I fit a 16W. The salesperson kept telling me that I "needed to go down a size" (I've NEVER heard that). I purchased an 18W because the ones I really like looked better in an 18W (even though the salesperson liked the 16W).

Just my 2cents, but with the losses you're seeing you might regret not getting the 16s, I bought a great pair of jeans and now they're too big - bummer.

The other thing I've done out of my comfort zone is actually wearing a sweatshirt that doesn't cover my butt .
