  • Hi there,
    I am just looking for the perfect diet - have tried most things Atkins, South Beach, calorie count, self - hypnosis (The best to date), just want to lose 10-15 lbs and stay there.

    I travel a lot (the self hypnosis CD was great for jet lag) exercise but have to watch what I eat.

    I know I am in the same boat as everyone but I keep scouring the net and forums until I will find something.

    If anybody has anything different to share I am all ears.

  • Welcome to the boards, Steve! Was there something negative about the other plans you tried that makes you not want to do them again? Or do you just get bored with the same diet and want to try something different? I'm not really sure there is a "perfect" diet out there. Everyone has different tastes, so what one person recommends and what works for them, might not be your cup of tea, you know what I mean?
  • The "perfect" diet is one that you're going to stick with.

    And that means it's going to vary from person to person. Even people following the same named plan do slightly different things. They fit it into their life by experimenting.

    There's no magic trick to this. Make a permanent change. Then make another change, and another. Until you're doing lots of healthy things for the rest of your life..
  • perfect for me so far is eating better... not always perfect but staying on course of 1600 cal.
