I'd like to get to 179lbs. This would put me officially out of the obese BMI range and into the overweight BMI range. I have to start somewhere, right?
I will join you on the August 15th goal (though not quite at that weight yet. I would like to be at 192 (currently 197). This is a stretch over my 1-2 lbs a week, but not too much of a stretch!

I am not making any headway yet...the scale is stuck on 183 and it ain't moving! It's frustrating...but, I still have some more time to make my goal.
I am going to try to stick with drinking only water this weekend instead of diet beverages. Maybe that little change will help move the scale backwards....
guacamole- thanks! It's my first month back OP, so I guess it's expected that it would come off a bit easily. Not that I haven't been working my butt off (literally)!
Well...unfortunately I didn't make my goal. Not only that, but I went on vacation and gained 2 lbs instead! Needless to say, I am not feeling good about this development.
I want to make 9/15 my new goal for getting to 179lbs, although I am feeling less optimistic that I will reach it since my first mini-goal failure. Maybe with my kids back at school, no vacations or unusual events coming up, I will be able to reach my goal successfully this time. The summer is so volatile in terms of schedule and routine.

It's OKAY don't beat yourself up, I gained 1lb at my weigh-in last week and I feel terrible, how about making a new mini-goal date??? I'll join you in the challenge =)
Thanks, BadBBW (love the name!). Since my kids don't start school until 9/1, maybe 9/15 is overly optimistic to lose 4-5 lbs. I tend to lose very slowly. Maybe 9/30/11 to get to 179? Just not feeling very confident...
