Gary, Furcal got a great reception when he came up to pinch hit. Nice seeing him wearing the birds on the bat. I was hoping he would have started. Tomorrow for sure.

BIG BIRD you have a very good shortstop, offensive and defensive, if he can shake off those injuries he has had in recent years. When he was hurt earlier this year he talked of retirement...I hope he has several good years ahead for your birds.

So last night my son calls about babysitting the GRANDdaughter this week, during the conversation he asks me..."pops, you watchin' the game?"...."no son, who are they playing tonight?"..."the padres "

Pretty when I start looking more at who they played the night before than who they are going to play or even watching the game of the day....

Don't get me wrong....I am watching but that GRANDdaughter comes first!

Of course she comes first. She's your first granddaughter.
