  • I can not believe the day has come that I have actually purchased a bikini! And let me tell you, shopping for it was tough! I went to the mall and tried on a bunch. They were all flimsy, unsupportive, way too low cut, and built for 12 year old girls! I should have just gone to Sears (Lands End) from the start because I knew that's where I'd find my suit. Since that's been my old standby for so long now, I wanted to give other stores a shot. Lands End had it! It's high waisted, supportive, hides weird stuff on my upper thighs...perfect.

It feels a little like wearing my underwear, so now I just have to be brave enough to wear it out of the house.

So, this is me...90 pounds down, 145 pounds, size 6 (more or less). Actually in the suit the bottoms are 4's and the top is an 8, so 6 splits the difference anyway. LOL!
  • You look amazing! i love the red on you, very Betty boop
  • Congrats- you look great! Your photo is so inspiring!
  • Very cute!!! You're a brave new girl!!!
I guess this means you are throwing down the gauntlet to Nikki6!?!

Precisely. And anyone else too!! Post your bathing suits pics this year!
  • You look amazing!!! How proud you must be (and deservedly so).

Definitely inspiration and motivation for me to go swimsuit shopping soon. Maybe I don't have to dread it this year.
  • You look fabulous! I love Land's End, I buy all my bathing suits and fitness clothes there. Size 4, I can't even imagine such a thing
  • It's cute and looks very well fitting and comfortable. Woohoo!! Proud of you. I guess this means I have to step up too. Now to pick which suit I will model in. haha. I will try to build up some nerve and face my fears. After my hard gym workout I want to get in today I will try my hand at swimsuit modeling . haha
  • Oh I had to bust out laughing yesterday morning during a difficult thigh circuit my trainer reminded me "this is all for the bikini butt" haha let me tell you I am feeling it in my bikini butt today.

LOL! I am way too bottom heavy for a bikini butt! I'm really happy with the actual "butt" part. It's the thighs that need work. That fat is going to be the absolute last to go. I'm not surprised! I was that way as a teen too. In fact, the only reason I can wear size 4's in this little skirt thing or in skirts in general is because the thighs aren't taken into consideration. Jeans/slacks typically need to be 6's because otherwise the thighs are too tight.

I am re-focusing my gym workouts for thighs and tummy when I get back from my trip.
  • Cute cute cute! You're our summer pinup on here. That top does wonders for your figure, it is highly flattering.

I love you!! LOL! Thank you so much!!

As for the top, this is why I so highly recommend Land's End. This suit has support! I tried on several and I had the saggiest, droopiest bust and skin was popping out where it definitely shouldn't.
  • Looking great!
  • The thigh circuit we did consisted be on all fours starting with right leg whole time. 30 seconds Fire hydrants .30 seconds kick outs (think kickboxing kick outs), 30 second kick backs kicking the leg straight back no stopping, 30 seconds rotation hydrants like a fire hydrants but move the bent knee in a circular motion . KILLER! Then you do the opposite leg, Whew no wonder I am sore!
