    Happy New Year shorties!!!

    I'll be the first to admit I fell off the wagon big time over the Christmas/New Years vacation. I have no excuse, the fault is my own. I have no idea what I weigh but I do know I gained weight back. Today is a new day of a new year. I went food shopping yesterday and bought lots of veggies and grilled up a ton of chicken for the week. Low fat snacks, water, etc. I'm not embarrassed bout the weight gain but know how crappy and tired I feel from it and its not a good feeling. So game on! I'm back on the wagon

    Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

    I still would love to hit my original 30lbs by Memorial Day, but will start small with a mini goal and shoot for 10lbs by Valentines Day.

  • hi!! i'm 5'0. im the shorty here lol ...

    i'm 142 now..trying to get to 137 by the end of the month and 135 by valentines.

    Starting off this week good so far...i've eaten good all day but i gotta say..im craving a damn cookie. I'm going to try to stay off sugar at least for these 5 days mon-fri.
  • I fell off the wagon around Thanksgiving. I've gained about 3lbs since then. I don't think that is terrible. I have been doing much better the last couple days. I start a new job on Monday so today I went three my closet to get rid of clothes that no longer fit. Hopefully that will help keep me on track as well.

    Herbal Magic for the 4th time. How are members getting there weight loss tickers up in their threads?
    My weight hit home on Christmas Day when our whole family went Curling and I was the only one
    sweating and everyone else was wearing their coats! Man I felt so embarrased!
  • actually ignore my previous post because my coworker just handed me a box a jujubees..my ultimate weekness..even though they are fat free they still have sugar which i was trying to avoid :-(
  • Jacqueline- you have to wait 20 days from when you joined then go to Announcements and Forum Help to get the directions to set it up.

    I have no excuse for why my weight has often so out of control. Tomorrow, I'll have Turbo fire and calorie counting. I'm determined to get this weight off!!

    Hello everyone... another shortie here! I round off my height to 5'1 when checking for BMI and stuff... I'm just bitter about that 1/4" that never came so I could be a flat 5'2 >.<

    Is anyone calorie counting here? I'm quite good with sticking to diets and eating within range even during the holidays. My problem is I'm too lazy to exercise! And this week, it's raining so I have an excuse not to go jogging -.-
  • I did good yesterday. Ate 1480 calories and did 30 treadmill and 100 crunches on the ball. Tonight is Zumba

    Brokengently.....I'm using sparkpeople.com. its so easy just add what you eat and how much and it does the calorie count for you.

    I'm determined too...I have so many things I want to wear but can't and I'm dying to surprise my bf with a cute fancy little lingerie number

    Is this the only place for the short AND heavy? If so thank goodness for it! Im new here and just trying to fit in. Hiding extra weight is impossible when youre short. Thats one thing others cant understand. Anywho...hoping to get and give support. Trying to count calories. Any free suggestions.? Thanks
  • Hello Shorties! 5'0 here. Love this thread because all us smaller girls have a hard time with weight. 20lbs turns into "So when are you due?" LOL

    I also had a stuff-face-athon as i called it on another post over the holidays. I felt crappy and tired and STARVING trying to get back into the swing of things...but back on track and motivated!
  • JennieGrl - I use Sparkpeople, too! My range is 1200-1550 calories/day. I like the daily summary... last night I was at 1261 calories but I failed to meet my fats and protein requirements. But for once, my sodium was within limit!
    Good luck with the lingerie display for your bf! That made me smile!

    teacher1 - congrats! what is your calorie limit? I'll try to check out Turbo Fire later... I'm searching for a DVD workout to do since I finished 30 Day Shred...

    Welcome worktobedone00! You are in the right place. Yes it's harder for us shorties to hide the weight.
    I started at 189lbs. When I got to 180, people have noticed I've lost weight. By 170, I got compliments on my progress. It just gets better from then. So there's something to look forward to! My first step was just introducing vegetables and fruits to my diet and cutting back on fast/junk food. Small changes at first... take it slow. This is my 16th month and I'm guessing I'll be needing another 16 months (or more!) to get near my goal weight.

    WeightForMe - lol at the pregnancy question! I'm a pear so 20lbs go straight to my thighs... awful. Glad to see you back on the wagon Good luck!

    ahhh the pregnancy question...unfortunately i have been embarrassed by this several times. Most times I try on clothes I always check to make sure I don't look pregnant.
