Picking up, dusting off, and moving forward.
Today, back on track. I hated the way it felt to be off, I was nauseous, my GERD returned, and I felt sluggish and fat the whole time. Oddly enough, I refused to get on a scale, but my clothes feel different, and I am truly mad at myself.
Beating myself is done, move it, to the positive playing field!
Have a great Christmas IP week peeps!

So you fell of the train! Pick yourself back up and don't stop being with this group. Not many of the people here made it all the way to goal without some slip, planned cheat, cheat, or break. If you need to talk about it or vent, go to the oops thread. No one will judge you and we will try to help you get back on plan.
If you just need to own up to it and get re-motivated, keep up here.
No one failed because they "fall". They fail because they stop trying and lose their sense of commitment. Let us be there for you so that doesn't happen!
Just realize, now you KNOW how your body responds and feels after those moments. I bet it is much less tempting the next time you are in that situation.

I did lose 3 lbs last week, but the two weeks before only lost a lb each and haven't lost anything this week. I am getting quite frustrated! I wanted to be in maintenance for at least 4 weeks before we go on our trip in late Feb. at this rate it isn't going to happen. If anyone can give me some pointers it would be most appreciated! I have followed everything to a "t", but seems like my body is rebelling and refuses to let go of the weight. I am at my goal weight, but must go down the 5 so that I can gain it back (I laugh when I say that and see the look on my hubby's face when I explained it to him just like that). ...anyway, if anyone has any pointers I would listen! Thanks, I hope everyone has a great, temptation free day!
It isn't uncommon for people to stall or slow down a bit as they shift phases. Just keep doing things on plan and see how the next weigh in goes. One weigh in that is not great isn't a big concern. You have lost 5 pounds in 21 days so, to not be recording a loss yet for this weigh in week isn't alarming. It may be a bit delayed. Your system is getting use to processing and using real food protein. It may need some time to adjust.

I've been on Ideal Protein for 3 weeks and am down 12lbs. Since its the holiday season/going on vacation I was wondering if anyone knew of the repercussions of altering phase1. Basically I just want to add a meat or fish to my lunch rather than a packet and have my night time packet before dinner so that I have energy to go to the gym. I've been doing well so far but the price is getting to be a problem and by eliminating 1 packet a day the diet would be much more manageable on my wallet! I have a meeting with my coach in a couple days but I thought I would see what you all had to say. I've been following your threads and really appreciate all of the advice I've gained here!
Thanks!
Abby
You are basically doing a phase 2. It should allow you to continue losing weight. You are using more animal protein instead of the more highly bio available proteins so, it could be harder on the kidneys, you could get less protein than you think you will, you could slow down in weight loss a bit sooner. You could try it and see how you do. Also, you could substitute one ideal protein packet a day with a costco premier protein drink or other powdered protein drink mix that is comparable.
We have a whole discussion and list of options in this conversation thread here.
