  • I just want to know what it feels like to be at a healthy range because I have never been in a normal weight range since I was very little.

I don't miss anything because I never had it.
  • -To be able to easily find clothes in my size & get awesome sales
-To be able to cross my legs
-To have the energy & speed/endurance to play intramural volleyball & softball
-To be able to take a bath in a normal tub without feeling like I'm going to get stuck and they are going to have to airlift me out like a whale stuck in low water.
-To be able to go on difficult hikes and be agile & have enough energy to complete it & not worry about tipping over, passing out, or hurting myself.
  • -to not have to take angle pictures
-to be able to wear a pair of jeans and feel banging in them
-to be able to buy a pair of flat knee high boots
-to have my bf be able to pick me up and me not have to worry hes going to throw his back out..
-to never have to step foot in penningtons or additionelle
-to be cold all the time ( i cant freakin wait!)
  • I can relate to alot of the other posts in this thread.

One of my "can't wait fors" is ....

I can't wait to see what my face is going to look like.

I just wonder what my face really looks like after spending all of my adult years overweight.
  • It's such a great feeling to read through this thread and realize that so many of these things that used to be on my list are now achieved.

    I can't wait to finish my first 5 k.

I can't wait to have the guts to walk into one of those small boutiquey type stores that doesn't carry above a smallish 12 and know I'll find something that fits.

I can't wait to be so physically fit that I people who meet me could not imagine that I had ever been fat.
  • Quote: To not have to ask for a seatbelt extender on an airplane!
I know what you mean..the first time I rode on a plane was a year ago and I squeezed myself into that seatbelt and was uncomfortable the whole flight..I was too embarrassed to ask for and extender. 8 months later for my next flight I bought me a seatbelt extender online just so I wouldn't have to be embarrassed. That's so sad..never again

-I want to wear shorts and not have the ride up because of my thighs rubbing together.
-To not have to use anti chaffing gel under my belly and boobs ( sorry if TMI)
-I want to be able to go to a theme park and not have to worry about whether or not I will fit.
-To wear sexy lingerie for my husband
-NO more clothes out of the plus size section (where they think we are all 65 and older)
  • Oh, and I can't wait to be able to buy regular shirts, not the ones with the "elbow" length sleeves to hide my big arms.
  • To look around and not be the fattest person in the room.
To not weigh more than some linebackers do.
    To wear single digit clothes.
To not have an X or multiple X's in the labels of my shirts.
To be able to bend over and get something off the floor with out having to get up or someone else get it.
To not have to apply anti chaffing powder to every part of my body.
To see my feet without bending over.
To not get out of breath just trying to tie my shoes or other simple activities.

Jeez. I could go on and on.
  • I can't wait to walk without hearing my thighs swishing so embarrassing
I can't wait to until I can move around without sweating like I have just ran a marathon
I can't wait until I can go buy sexy clothes/outfits
I can't wait until I no longer look like I'm having another child at the end of the day
I can't wait until I no longer have the chafing issues under my boobs from the constant sweating
I can't wait until the rolls are gone and my bra isn't curled up in it, no more burning from the redness when I take it off
I can't wait to hear people say, WOW YOU LOOK GREAT since I have talked about losing weight for so long
... Oh I can't wait until I can sit on my bed and look in the mirror and my stomach doesn't stick out further than my boobs
  • I can't wait to dress my age again.
I can't wait to buy more than perfume from vitorias secret.
I can't wait to see my face at 140
    .... my body at 140.
I can't wait for my boyfriend to be able to pick me up and carry me to the bedroom!
I can't wait to wear heals!!!
I can't wait to wear jewelry and it not make my wrists/hands look fat
I can't wait show all the people who are waiting for me to fail again that I did it.
  • Quote: "Bat wings"....lol.
    Thanks for the laugh Terre

Heck, even when I weighed 130 I was called "thunder thighs". Runs in my family.
I shoulda been a cowgirl, I've always had built in saddlebags.
It must be a 5'4" thing. This is my big "can't wait" still! I too remember weighing 130 pounds and my legs chaffed in shorts or skirts. I'm hoping all this strength training will eventually tone up that area!! I carry the majority of my weight in my thighs at present.

All these "can't waits" are within your reach folks!! My list used to include all of these and the only one left now is the thigh rub thing!
  • When I'm in a cafe or restaurant and have to walk through the other tables and diners, I want not to have to sit there before hand pre-planning the route with the biggest gaps.

    Good one!!!

I want to not have to check and see the "maximum weight" on bicycles, or exercise equipment or the like, cause I'll be way below the minimums!!!

I want to never have to ask for a different chair because I can't fit in the one I was supposed to sit in. (or avoid places with arms on the chairs.)
  • There is a dress in my closet that I last remember wearing in 1986. I really can't say why it survived two house moves (including one across 5 states) and numerous closet purges. I think it's because the fabric colors and pattern made me happy to look at just hanging on the hanger and it always put me in a good mood to wear that dress.

Now it has become my goal outfit. It is very fitted style and an 80's size 12 (which would likely be a what, size 8 by today's standard?). Really looking forward to strutting my stuff in this dress.
  • My goals are..

-To not wear out the fabric of bottoms because my thighs cause friction
-To out run/fool around with my brother that is 3 years younger..we love sibling rivalry
-To finally prove everyone that this is NOT who I am, Liz 2.0 is busting to get out!
-To dress my age and enjoy being single in my 20s
-To not be so self conscious talking to guys because of my weight
-To go into a normal store and not have to look at the highest size and try to squeeze myself into it because I am determined to have it
-To feel good going to the beach or laying out by the pool

    Sooo many more!
