Feeling really grim - does this happen?

  • Day #31, no breaks.

I feel really weak and tired today. Had to sit down unexpectedly at work this morning. Not dizzy, just weak.

    I'm eating and drinking right.

As soon as I eat (TMI alert) I have to rush to the bathroom, and it's not pretty. Indeed, I'm glad I live alone.

I feel all peculiar and distant and like I just want to go to sleep until tomorrow but I can't, got a massive service at church now.

    If this happens sometimes, fine.
If anyone can tell by what I've said has got any hints about what I might be doing wrong, please let me know.

    Ta.
  • We aren't doctors and I think you'd be better off checking with yours than on the internet. If you have to rush to the bathroom after eating, you are not getting nourishment from your food.

I hope you get better soon!
  • Sounds like it could be a stomach bug, or some such thing, depending on how long its been going on-- but Quilter is right, sounds like a doctor visit is in order.
  • I take everyone's point, and I've made a dox appt for next Monday.

In the mean time, I'm wondering if I've been having just too much fat for someone without a gall bladder. I'm going to try knocking off the cream until Monday, and see if that makes a difference. I'm not going to be eating Low Fat, just a Bit Lower.
  • Well, I worked out the problem - I was drinking far too much. I've always drunk a lot of water but I upped it for this WOE and because of hot weather. I was drinking so much that I think I was literally washing the food straight through me. I'm still getting about 150 floz a day, between water and black tea/coffee, so not dehydrating.

I don't know if it's a down side of drinking a bit less or if it's something else but I've got horrid fluid retention in my ankles, it doesn't go down properly overnight, which makes me a bit nervous. Oh well, see what the doctor says.
  • My husband doesn't have a gallbladder either. He's got horrible issues w/the bathroom! Lots of thoughts coming your way!
  • And I'm going to recommend this thread.

Oh yes, this happens fairly frequently and it's not too hard to overcome.
