  • Quote: WOW great job.

I wished my first week was that successfull. Impressed
Thanks, my coach has pre-warned me to expect 1-2 next week!
  • Congrats LaLibE! My first weigh in was a 12 pound loss. Makes you feel like it was totally worth it, right?
  • Absolutely tashamarie, we can do anything now, lol. It gave me the lift I need to get through week 2.
  • So I'm to this website and to IP but I started last week but I don't weigh in till this sat but after reading y'alls post I'm getting even more excited!
  • Quote: CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I am on Day 1. Must say - I hated the IP omelet I had for breakfast. I'm also having trouble getting down enough water. I've never been a big water drinker (or any beverage for that matter). Gonna try to get 16 more ounces in before I leave work.
Get some Mio and add it to your water, the are awesome and allowed! Hope that helps!
  • Good luck at your WI! Let us know how it goes!
  • Week 1--6 pounds (but only 2 inches)!?
  • Please. Can we leave this thread for tips only?
  • Tip
Do not make your shake and take it with you in the car and leave it in the hot car all day. It will be super hard to clean and smell like A$$.

  • Well folks this is my first day on IP. The day has gone by rather quickly and I can honestly say I was not hungry at all! I have a few question as a new kid. Is it typical to be so tired on the first day. I had great plans of going to the gym, but by mid afternoon I felt listless. I also ended up eating supper earlier than I had planned. I plan to have a bar for a treat into the evening. Can anybody give me some insight to the first few days and what they experienced. I love the idea of small goals since I have 90 lbs to lose.http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/imag...es/jestera.gif

I was VERY tired the first few days. Don't expect to be able to go to the gym until your body has adjusted to this diet. I took a walk around the block when I was feeling restless and all but exhausted myself. I have been on this diet for 8 weeks now and I too have a goal of losing 90 pounds. I now am able to exercise (for recreation) and all I do is ensure that I have extra chocolate drink packets for the days I exercise. My first week was pretty typical, I ended up getting a pretty wicked headache the first night, it was so bad that I woke up crying hysterically. I ended up eating a few rasinettes the first night and it did help my headache go away. After that night it was smooth sailing, I was pretty hungry and still tired. I ate pickles whenever I was hungry in the first few days (the combo of crunching and the vinegar helped me feel stuffed) By day 4 I was feeling awesome. I woke up at 7am without an alarm, cleaned my house, and was full of energy. I now know exactly which packets work for me, and I am fearless when it comes to eating out. I hope this helps!
  • Is it ok to eat the bars in phase one? I have had a chocolate drink and a soup from the IP collection. Of course I have had the veggies and then veggies and meat tonight but would like to have a bar mid evening. As I understand it I can have 3 IP things per day.... right?

Everyone seems to have a different opinion on restricted...my coach encourages 1 restricted item per day as it contains carbs that your body needs to function. Some coaches don't allow restricteds till week 3.
Personally, I look forward to treating myself every evening with a restricted snack...it's what keeps me on protocol and I feel like I'm "cheating" when I eat it.
Hope this helps you, and good luck with your goals
  • Hi everyone!

This is my 3rd day on IP and I feel exhausted and am nauseous with a terrible headache! My coach has told me that this should go away by day 4 or 5 so I'm holding on...
I am loving reading all of your success stories, it makes me want to stay on protocol all the more!! The tips for us newbies is great and I'm so glad that I found this forum!!

    Carol,
Glad to have you on the forum and the IP protocol. The first few days are the toughest. Hang in there it gets so much better. It won't be long before you will have so much energy. IP is the best...as they say.." it works if you work it". Follow the protocol, eat your veggies; drink your water; take your supplements and watch the weight come off.
