Kick me please!

  • Ok, so I had a meeting downtown after school. I was so hungry when I got out, BUT I didn't go through a drive through! (+) I came home and cooked my fish and baked my sweet potatoes fries saying to self, "Self, you WILL go to the Y after dinner. I usually go straight from work but knew I would never make it because I was already feeling shaky.
I live in a small town outside of the town with the Y so it is a good 20 minute drive. I ate my dinner and am waiting for the after work 5 o'clock crowd to thin out. HOWEVER: I feel it, the excuses are coming. "But I will miss biggest loser tonight" " I could just walk around the block" " I will miss NCIS" (sensing a pattern, need to get rid of tv!) "It is such a long drive, and gas is going up!"
    GRRRRRRRRRR
I NEED to go, no way does walking around the block compare to 30 on the treadmill followed by 30 on the elliptical.... and Biggest loser should be playing at the gym, right? IF I am lucky NCIS might be on the screen next to it!.....

OK: here is where you say, "Get your lazy but to the gym Jennifer....."
  • Get your lazy butt to the gym, Jennifer!
  • Hey lady Get a move on get your butt to the gym.. if you go.. ill get my lazy butt off my couch and go to the gym!
  • GET YOUR LAZY BUTT TO THE GYM JENNIFER ! NOW!!!! Cuz I said so! (almost works with the kids)LOL

Seriously.... The Y is calling.... and its for you Jenn
  • Ok, to the gym it is....thanks ladies!

    Come on Canada.... let's go!
  • Didn't you feel better after you went? That's a BIG + in my book and it should be in yours too! Good job!
  • Good Girl LOL BTW Cuz I said so NEVER really works with the kids...
  • A. TIVO
    B. How was it? Do you feel better for going even when mentally you could have possibly given yourself a pass?
  • Just got back and took my shower.
    Feel GREAT!!!
    25 min on treadmill
    25 min on elliptical
    5 on the bike
    10 more on treadmill.....

Now, explain this to me, there are 15 empty treadmills (the Y is dead on Tuesday night evidently) and 2 teenagers climb on right next to me. I think they were in competition as to who could use the F word the most, I think I will stick to early evening workouts.... aruggg..... I teach middle schoolers all day, I don't want to put up with older versions of the "I'm so cool, look at me" attitudes! ok, vent over

How about you Canada, how are you doing?
  • Wonderful you found you the motivation to get your butt to the gym Sounds like a great workout
  • Hey lady !!
i did 15 min on the elliptical (on level 8 doing hills.. eh)
    15 on the bike
6 min on the stair-master (i nearly died lol oh holy crap)(i will kick that things *** one day)
then all of the weights that i do!!

then i had a lovely hot tub and sauna!!!!!!!!

I feeeeeeeeeeeeeel soooo goood and biggest loser was on the t.v. in the sauna !
  • High Five!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Biggest Loser wasn't on
But I watched dancing with the stars instead. Reba was on so, yeah!
  • Ugh on the teenagers! I hate that word. The neighbors use it and my children have picked it up and nothing makes me angrier. I will not tolerate that word. In fact, my children aren't happy because you just reminded me about their punishment for texting the word back and forth with friends on their DSI's last night. They're upstairs writing "I will not use bad words" 100 times. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm so glad you guys are encouraging each other to go to the gym. You get such a feeling of accomplishment after it's over. I'm an early morning gym rat. There's rarely a crowd and the people who are there are regulars and typically very friendly. And you never see teenagers at 5:30 in the morning!
