  • Hi everyone! I'm starting the Easter Challenge. This Challenge runs from 3/17 - 4/4 This is approximately 2.5 weeks.

    If you guys don't mind. Let's post weigh ins on the 21st, 28th, and the 4th. I know the 21st isn't a whole week, but it will give us three weigh ins for the challenge. Also, please remember the short length of the challenge when you set your challenge goals.

    How about since this is a short setup why don't we play tag for the entire challenge. It will keep us all hopping


    Rules for tag:
    1) If you don't want to play, you don't have to. There will be enough tags going around that you don't have to do anything. Please feel no pressure.
    2) 1 tag = 30 minutes of exercise.
    3) When you exercise your tag away you can tag 3 new people.
    4) Please list the people you tag in a bright color in your post so that others can notice it easily.
    5) No prizes, but like the weigh in- post it in your signature for bragging rights.

    Thanks for starting this thread. It's exciting. My goals for this little mini-challenge are: drinking my water every day, 540 minutes of exercise, and really being conscious of my eating habits. That gets me every time.
  • I'm in, of course.

    Goals for this challenge:
    I am going for a more reasonable 3.6 lbs for this challenge.
    I would also like to do 50 push ups in a row, and eat at least 4 servings of veggies a day. (For all that I love veggies, I do not eat enough of them. )

    -Well... I've decided to opt out of the rest of phase 1 of South Beach and try to do a modified phase 2 or 3. Which puts me in the whole foods category maybe- whole grains, dairy, veggies, some fruit. I didn't pass out this morning thankfully, but I started feeling really weak and don't think I can manage this for an extended period of time (I did pass out tuesday morning). I think my blood sugar drops too low in the mornings, I hadn't even been awake half an hour before each of these events happened. I've been calorie counting as well and getting plenty of calories in 1400 - 1700 daily, so it almost has to be a lack of complex carbs. I'm not saying I would stick it out, but it would be easier to consider if I wasn't living alone right now... Grr... oh well.
  • Tessa~be careful passing out or fainting is a signal from your body something is wrong. Light headedness, woozie, feelings for me are a sign my blood sugar took a sudden plument. It happened the other day at Wallys. I feared Id need an ambulance. Please be careful it can be dangerous. I tried South Beach couldnt do it for the same reason. My best doable diet is Sugar Busters. Ive had wonderful success with it cuz it regulates my blood sugar. Thats what I need. My doctor put me on a diebetic diet (not diebetic) It has helped me loose the last 12-15 pounds. Lots of luck with phase 2 or 3 :-)) Hugs to you!!!
  • I didn't get my 30 minutes last night, but I did this morning! I walked and did the elliptical. So I'm tagging people now!

    Starting this challenge off great! It's a beautiful day here so I'm gonna get outside with the kids. Hope everyone has an awesome Thursday. Just one more day until the weekend.

    Can some one tell me how to do color so I can do my tags in color :-)) I tried but it didn't work
  • Dixie- Thanks for the concern. I thought the first time that I fainted it might be a fluke, but this morning I took it as a sign that it just wasn't going to work. P2 and P3 have grains and carbs back in so they really shouldn't be an issue.

    To change the color of a phrase, highlight it (by clicking to the left or right of it with the left clicker of the mouse and drag to the other side). Then in the options bar above the text window there's an A with a bold black line under it and a little arrow to the right. If you click that arrow a whole bunch of colors will pop up in a grid and you just click on that color. (In your text box it will show something like [ _COLOR="DarkGreen" ] with the text in the middle.[ /COLOR ]
  • I'm joining in! Hello everyone! My goals for these 2.5 weeks are:

    1) Lose 5 pounds (get to 154!)
    2) Cut back from 2 sodas a day to 1 a day by the end of the challenge
    3) Don't drink coffee if I'm drinking a caffinated soda that day (trying to minimize caffiene and artificial sweeteners
    4) Be good on my trip to Orlando!!

  • hello everyone well I am starting this one out at 219 and I would actually like to stay there for the next 2 weeks. and sprkl great time to play tag. I went for 30 min walk with one of the dogs today then spent 1 hr raking the back yard up from winter and dogs still have about 1/2 left to do that I will fininsh tomorrow then it is off to the front yard.
  • Hi Everyone!! So I'm a little high on my calories, but I'm still around maintenance calories, so it's okay...not great, but acceptable. I'll be back on plan tomorrow.

    I finished the first day of P90x today, oh man that was super hard. So I'll tag:
