FOOD JOURNALING - Week of 5/13 thru 5/19

  • I actually didn't do too bad over the weekend. The wedding offered finger foods and lots of veggies and moms day was steak and salad!

    Monday

    B-2 black decaf // hb egg // 1/2 polish sage link
    L-green salad // water packed tuna // 1/2 pickle
    D-grilled country ribs // salad // squash

    NO diet pepsi today !

    Water intake - so far - 120 oz. Yippee!

  • TUESDAY
    This is the plan ~~

    B- 3 black decaf // 1 sge pattie // 1 bacon // 1 fried egg
    L- I'm sure it'll be some form of salad
    D- Large mixed green salad w/ grilled chicken breast/hb eggs, etc

    Water intake - (10) 16 oz glasses

    I'm trying real hard at least five days a week to cut the starches down (ie., my baked potato, rice, corn) during my RM meal. So, even tho I'm more a CAD'y gal, what would this be considered? I've started taking a hard look at my calorie intake and chose to cut back there for at least the next 30 days. My plan is that DH and I usually go out to eat 2 days a week and that leaves me a bit of room for the restaurant way of cooking.

    Also, at the end of each week I plan on calculating my calorie intake and weight.

    How's everyone else doing?

    WOW it looks like you are doing great on your water intake and eating. I can see some serious committment here! Good for you!

    I am doing great on my water, it is at least 100 oz a day.

    Don't want to talk about it, coming back from Dallas-french fries involved.

    Tuesday:
    B-2 eggs scrambled w/onions and mushrooms, 2 C coffee
    L-romaine lettuce w/celery and tuna
    D-2 chicken breasts
    Water all day. i'm floating away....

    I think I'm punishing myself...hehehe.

    Ever notice how people always wig about the "high fat" in low carb diets but when you read what we're eating it's all pretty ok? I mean, other than sausages and stuff. Just noticed that.....

    Hey guys, did naming this thread food journaling instead of a menu thread discourage others from posting?

    Still doing pretty well sticking to plan. Definately getting more than enough water in. (The ice bin was empty last night! )

    Wednesday

    B-3 black decaf - sausage pattie with melted cheese
    L-small green salad - 1/2 country rib
    D-oriental stir fry with chicken breasts

    Water - 1.5 gallons!

    Diet Pepsi - 1


    The plan for Thursday

    B-2 black decaf - 1 hb egg / 1 polish sge link
    L-chef salad w/ham
    D-double meat burger/lettuce/tomato/jalapenos-no buns

    **Had to edit dinner as DH wanted grilled burgers.

    Water - so far - 48 oz


    I've managed daily excercise in some form. Either walking at the gym and a few machines, push mowing the lawn (1/2 acre) and boy am I feeling it this morning. I'm getting a bit anxious to weighing myself at the gym Monday. I know some loss will be water but I'll take it for motivation!

    How's everyone else doing?

    d ~ brocolli, italian chicken

    2 coffee w/ cream
    120 oz water

    Having a hard time movitating myself to exercise (aside from chasing after two active little boys). I did manage to do my eliptical machine on Monday.

    B- 3 decaf // 1 leftover burger pattie
    L- small green salad w/ hb egg
    D- All that mexian food talk--chicken fajita meat/guacamole/lettuce, NO chips or tortillas-yummmm

    Water-going good - averaging at least a gallon a day.

    DH claimed yesterday that he can tell that I'm losing weight (yea right!) I had the jean shorts on that I could zip instead of the biker shorts! Holds those hips in better!

  • New Meal Plan
    Ok, I was put on a new meal plan to get me out of ketosis on Thursday--it has been so hard figuring out what to eat since i'm so used to eating 600cal/30carb/80protein/<20fat. I thought maybe posting my meals would help me keep tabs on things. I'll meet with the dietician next week to work out the details of my new plan--I just had to get out of ketosis asap so we just did that over the phone. I have to do 1100cal/60 carbs/30 fat/60protein now...so that's the goal--it isn't working out too well.

    Friday was hard:

    B-Low-fat Tortilla pizza w/cheese, turkey pepperoni

    L- 3/4 of a Lite Yogurt -- didn't have time to eat the turkey too

    D-Chickfila Chicken sandwich - 1/2 bun

    So today:

    B-Low-fat Tortilla pizza w/cheese, turkey pepperoni, onion, and bell peppers

    L-Chickfila Chicken sandwich

    S-Pickle and 1/2 a low-fat graham cracker.

    D-Chickfila grilled chicken ceasar with light italian dressing.

    Sunday

    B-3 black decaf // not hungry
    L-burger patty with pickle/lettuce/tomato/onion
    D-1 glass wine - got ticked off at dh and stepkids-went to bed

    Did really good fir water both days, Apprix 1 gallon. Even youngest ds (Michael) said he was proud of me

    Heading into week 2 of OP days. Anyone joining me?
