I use a protein powder from Max Muscle (High 5--cappucino flavored is my favorite). When I first started lifting weights I was a little resistant to protein shakes, but I don't really like meat all that much, and I do eat lots of eggs (whites) and cottage cheese. I try to get about 125 grams of protein a day, and shakes are pretty much my lifesaver for at least 2 protein servings a day.
FYI--If I tried to get 125 grams of protein from peanuts, I would need to eat about 3000 calories in peanuts.
I like peanuts, but not that much! (I just thought it would be fun to look at that calculation since peanuts were suggested).
