RED Team "Making the Commitment" Exercise Challenge

  • Families start with a commitment right? Well Red team, since this challenge is the spirit of everything family I think the first thing we as a team need to do is to commit! Commit to OURSELVES! Commit to our goals!! Commit to forming a habit that takes us closer to those FIT HEALTHY bodies we all desire!

    I've always heard it takes 30 days to form a habit...then I heard 28 days and 21 days. Well just to be sure we are going for 30 days! Over the next 30 days the RED team is going to form a habit and make a commitment to our health!

    Our Make A Committment Exercise Challenge will run from Sunday, September 21 thru Monday, October 20th.

    How many of the next 30 days do you think you can exercise? 15? 21? all 30?


    1. Set a goal...how many days will you commit to exercising?
    2. Post your goal...put it out there for the whole team to see!
    3. Post along with your goal 2 reasons why you should keep that commitment.
    4. How will you reward yourself for reaching that goal?
    5. Make a place to come back and update so your team can see how many days you have succeeded!

    I would like to see everyone joining the challenge going for 30 days of exercise in the next 30 days...
    YOU CAN DO IT!! WE CAN DO IT!!!

    You may think I'm asking alot but really I'm not...because knowing that its only right for us to give our bodies a rest day...what if on that rest day you took a 10 minute walk? What if you stretched for 10 minutes? Not exerting yourself on the rest day but still doing some exercise. You could definitely do 30 days of exercise then right?

    Remember 30 days to form a habit....30 days to make that commitment! Lets do this Red team

    2 reasons to do this: I want to have more energy and I have metabolic syndrome and I want to get it under control exercise is the way to do it!

    2 reasons to do this: I want and need to start losing weight again. The second reason is because I feel so much better when I do it!

    2 Reasons To Do This: I need to exercise for more energy, improvement in health.
    My Reward: I know it will jump start my weight loss again!! (And a few new shirts for work just for good measure )

    30 of the next 30 days! (even if that just means playing DDR for just 15 minutes, or even a simple walk at lunch...I can do it!!!)

    30 of the next 30 days! Exercise least 30 minutes (daily) Monday-Friday & at least 10 minutes (daily) Saturday-Sunday.

    My 2 reasons to do this: To make a better habit of being healthy (exercise and eating right) AND Be a better example for my kids. Plus I wanna tone my body!

    My Reward: A new pair of jeans or form-fitting dress to go out with hubby.

    10/19- 2 mile jog jogged the whole thing
    10/20- WATP 2 mile walk


    Well I didn't do too bad. I worked out 28 out of 30 days. Pretty good.

  • i will exercise 15 days out of 30days for a goal for 45-90 minutes. (for me reasonable and improvement: 6 days a week volleyball with kids, 3-4 days a week work 13 -14 hours shifts, and sleep and house cleaning.)
    two reasons: i get to make me time and improve my health
    my reward: i will be healthier from it and new fabric or book
