Challenge
Greetings:
I'm responding here rather than in the 2007 goals thread because the best thing that I have learned so far from this site is to set very small goals. Imbolc is an important holiday for me, and it will be a good waypoint. I also have to go to the doctor in February for the twice-yearly appointment to make sure I'm still breathing (I have asthma and high blood pressure), and one of my goals is to wow her with my just-incredible drop in excess poundage and blood pressure.
So here goes:
Lose five more pounds before Imbolc
exercise five times a week
drink two bottles of water every day (difficult for me)
control my eating late in the afternoon, particular when I return from a depo
I'm in for another challenge. Ok, for January I will...
Loose 5 lbs
Keep up the swimming and work on increasing my endurance
Start weight training 2 times a week
Take a multi-vitamin everyday (this shouldn't be hard, but I always forget)
Cheer on DH in state weightlifting meet - he's going for new PR's.
I'm back from a two month hiatus. I was doing well until I found out my partner was cheating on me, so... I stopped working out, started chain smoking, and lost eight pounds from not eating.
Since then I've quit smoking and started eating again... although not healthily. Somehow, I've managed to NOT gain those eight pounds back.
Well, now that I'm my own woman, I'm re-evaluating my fitness goals and I want to start working out again. It's kind of a bad day to start today (cramps...) but as soon as I'm feeling better (hopefully tomorrow!) I'm going to start playing Dance Dance Revolution again. I lost 12 pounds when I started doing that and eating better.
So my goal for January is to work out at least five days a week.
I am in! Man, I disappeared for awhile. I got caught up with grad school and also gained 10 lbs as a result =( Oh well, I'm back on track!
* Edit
I forgot to post my goals!
- Understand that I cannot eat like my 120 lb girlfriend does =P
- Establishing my gym routine yet again
- No more giving into my 'sweet tooth' craving!
Ok I will try. I am going to go for:
~Take my multi vitamin every day (I can't remember either Spideranne)
~ Drink 20 - 40 oz of water (Crystal light or flavored water) EVERY day including weekends.
~ Eat something decent for breakfast/lunch during the week. Now that I am on a campus, mostly I can only find donuts or fast food. And I suck at bringing lunch with me. I either forget in the morning, or don't want to eat what I bring by the time lunch rolls around.
- Understand that I cannot eat like my 120 lb girlfriend does =P
LOL!! I so hear you on that one... my girlfriend and I are long-distance and when we get together all she wants to do is eat! The girl weighs like 110 lbs, I don't know where her weight goes.
BTW I've never posted here, my name's Dana
My main goal is to lose the holiday weight (1 down, 8 to go) and hopefully a bit more...
And to do at LEAST 1000 minutes of cardio (60 minutes, four times a week). I have to be REALLY hardcore with the cardio when I'm starting back up again in order to psych myself up!
Is it too late to join this challenge? If not my goals are
To use Walk away the pounds three times a week
To use my Yoga dvd the other four
To drink more water
Keep up the afternoon walk with my kids
To lose 5lbs
I dropped a pound as of what the scale said this morning, but I'm not sure if it's really gone for good. I've watched this same pound come and go at least 4 times this week. I'm in my sticking zone. These 5 lbs are where my weight has been for 90% of the last 12 years. My body likes it here and I know I'm going to have to be really diligent to whittle off these lbs.
I did do all my exercise this week and was 6/7 for taking the multivitamin.
How is everyone else doing on their challenge goals?
