thaksgiving dinner?

  • Any one have any tried and true low calorie Thanksgiving dinner recipes theyd like to share?...dont forget about desert.
  • I don't have specific recipes but I'll give some ideas.

Turkey - don't eat the skin and eat little dark meat
Brussel sprouts - braised in water
Baked yams - Bake them like you would potatoes in the oven, eat them as is
Sauteed green beans - lightly in olive oil and maybe a little water, add salt and pepper

Pumpkin custard - I'm sure you can find a recipe for this but you use crushed pumpkin with splenda and a few other ingredients to make a pumpkin custard. I think it has eggs and milk in it but not sure.

Baked apples with a brown sugar (very little), soy milk (or regular milk), oatmeal and walnut crust. I can look up this recipe for you but I did this one day for my future in-laws and they loved it. I basically cut up apples, put them in a small glass casserole pan, then made a topping mixed with oatmeal, brown sugar, soy milk and chopped walnuts. I topped the cut apples with the topping and baked in the oven.

    2. green beans
    3. baked carrots
    4. boneless, skinless turkey (of course )
    5. fat free crustless pumpkin pie
