  • Ok, time for a new exercise thread!

I borrowed the words from lovely ellis:

    Hey, all!

Challenge yourself to a little more exercise than you did last month. (for some of us, that's not a lot)
Take a few minutes, get out of your chair, and move it!!

This month... I'm joining the gym again. And I'm committing to using my (finally blown up) new exercise ball 3-4 times a week, plus some running.

    Come and join us!
  • So, September is gone....it went really good for me in the exercise department last month.

This month (ok, started last Tuesday), I increased my workout I am now doing a 75- 120 min cardio/strength/movement skills/ plyometric (yeah, learned new words!) workout five times per week.

    Tuesday workout: done

  • Haha -- for me ANY exercise this month will be an improvement over last month!!! I rode my bike once and walked/jogged a handful of times. I'm going to start aerobics again. I haven't done any in months. And I'm going to start my jogging program again.
  • Thanks for starting this, Kate!

Last month I did well. I've been back at the gym for three weeks.
Now I have a cold, darn it.
I'm going to rest again today, and hope I have something in me for a workout tomorrow.

Oh... my plans for this month. Gym three times a week, including running and a small weight workout.
  • Hello everyone...well I sure hope I do better this month lol

Harpo-good luck with your running this month
  • I am aiming for 2-3 times a week at Curves
    10000 steps on my pedometer
  • This month I am going to walk (treadmill) at least 1.5 miles 4 times per week, going at least 2 MPH. I am also going to TIVO Denise Austin's workout at 6:30am every morning and do it the next mornning at 6:00am...at least 4 times per week.

  • October 3 Tuesday
    Curves and 12674 steps
  • sounds like everyone has great plans for this month, let's keep it moving everyone!!

i am still doing the weight routine 3 x a week, i upped my reps a bit for the next 2 weeks. i'm feeling stronger everyday. i am also up to 2.5 miles walking 5x a week. i also added a few crunches in here and there, i'm going to work on being a little more consistent with that.

we're off to a wonderful start!!
  • Yawn.....Good morning!

    Ok, Wednesday exercise: done!
Maybe I wasnīt quite awake this morning during exercises, but it seems as if there would be a tiny enhancement in the movement skills department...a little, tiny one....

Ok, letīs make October to a moving month!
  • Donna, I totally caught your cold. I am so sick. I'm glad YOU'RE feeling better!

I'm amazed at how well everyone is doing. Can we keep this up?

I did go to the Y today. I decided to bike instead of running. Biked for 30 minutes and did a few weights. I think I have a fever now...
  • It's been awhile since I have been in this thread, but part of my re-commitment to an appropriate life-style is keeping up on the boards (plus, I missed you all ).

I walked 30 minutes on the treadmill today (2 miles).

I am going to try to re-introduce weights to my workouts this month, but we shall see how that plays out.
  • back at it
Here I am back at it. Started this last jan and need to get my butt in gear again. This time I also have 2 buddies to help me out and I hope they get on this site. I walked the stairscase at lunch today (3 flights up and 3 flights down). Goal? to keep that up the rest of this week and to walk those steps 2x a day.
  • Hello everyone! I've been doing pretty good this month. Sunday 20 mins on the bike, Tuesday 15 minutes of aerobics and today 20 minutes on the bike, 35 minutes of aerobics and 5 minutes on the rower. My goal is to workup to where i was in august. Working out twice a day and I had no pain and lots of energy.
  • hello everyone

    lets keep it up!!
