  • This one is all in fun but I put it in this section because I feel it IS supportive in the sense of seeing how far we have come! I got the idea when someone posted in another thread her pix of an outfit she couldn't believe she had ever worn.

Do others of you have pix from the past which you look at and think, "I can't BELIEVE I wore that and looked like that?" I'll be brave and go first. The photo below is of one of my progress pictures (down 25 pounds from when I started). I was horrified when I saw it and how the blouse does NOT cover up my gigantic stomach! I look like I am going to have a baby at any moment. NOT!!! I swore I would never wear this again! BUT recently I dragged it out and put it on... wow now it is way big on me and since the mega boobs are not quite so mega and don't take up quite so much room, the blouse now is baggy over my stomach! I am wearing it but soon it will have to go in the "out of here" pile.

Remember, this is all in fun... instead of being horrified at how we looked THEN, let's look at it as seeing the progress we have made NOW.

Okay, here is my "brave" picture. I don't know why but all I can post on 3FC is little tiny photos even though I see others posting decent sized ones... oh well. But hey! Editing... this one seems to be the right size when I click on it.

  • Great idea for a thread, Misti. I'll have to find one of mine to post.
  • Thanks! One thing I love about 3FC is that it has enabled me to LAUGH at myself and have others who understand and are in the same boat.
  • One thing i have thought of since I started losing weight is .. i don't have any old pics of myself! i hid from the camera very well! *buffs nails*
maybe i need to check with other shutterbugs in my family and see if they have any pics of me that haven't surfaced to my attention yet .. eep!
  • How about this one?

I actually used to love these pants. They were capris from Lane Bryant. They had pretty embroidery down one leg and a comfy, pull-tie waist.

There are also VERY FEW pictures of me at my heaviest. A co-worker took these.
  • I thought this was an awesome outfit. Oy.

    I think its rather nice!

  • This was me at about 160 lbs. I thought I was looking good til I saw the pic. My belly was as broad as my shoulders. I don't wear stripes anymore. LOL

I think you can wear stripes all you want, now. But I understand your not wanting to, after all you have lost!
  • Thanks Misti. This is a fun thread. I wish I could find some before pic's but I was very camera shy for years. I do have a red shirt with very thin white stripes that I love to wear now, of course, I haven't seen a pic of me in it. LOL
  • Thanks for the link, Lilybelle! It is still hard for me to believe that first photo is the same person! Wow you have done SO fantastic a job!!
  • Thank you. My change was so gradual that sometimes it's hard for me to believe it too, until I see the pic's. You have done an awesome job yourself.
  • Well, I'd lost a lot of weight. And I THOUGHT I was looking goooooooood. Blech!
  • That is a cute outfit and I don't think it looks bad.
  • Wow...so many of you have done so great getting healthier. I have to disagree with some of you though....even with a little "padding" you were all still attractive women and didnt look "terrible" and "ugh". Im sure your husbands/boyfreinds didnt think so either (my guess is that they were still chasing you around the dining room table with a spatula)
