WELCOME !!!
We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.
We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears.
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.

These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.
We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.
We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.
WELCOME!
I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for Amazon on any page in the forum, or by clicking on the button on the main 3FC page at www.3fatchicks.com . A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.

The last thing I did - which I didn't post yet - was 27 minutes of upper body work with weights...I totally killed it!! I upped my weights for 1/2 of it, and even added on some reps - I was just feeling so pumped!! (It also helped I had my MP3 player blasting some good rock tunes!) My workouts yesterday/today (whatever, I'm referring to Saturday!
) consisted of 27 minutes of weights and 83 minutes of walking!!
At the end of my strength training I had sweat running down my face, lol, I could barely see afterwards from the sweat getting in my eyes, lol, like I said, I pumped it up that session!! Well, probably just get in a basic walk tomorrow (15-30 minutes??) I'm guessing. But for now I'm off to post my minutes on the exercise thread! I don't know why I didn't start exercing before - I love it, LOL!
But I was a "regular" at a gym for a wee bit last year...I invested in a personal training session so I could be shown how to use things as she made up a exercise routine for me....stopped going cause of price, distance, and fell off the wagon. The machines seemed insane to learn to me, but as soon as they were explained it was like "Oh...okay...duh!"

). I've been there 2 weeks now, and I already feel like an important part of the team, as I've had people from my direct supervisor to the VP of HR to the company president/owner tell me how happy they are I'm there. The one bad thing about being so needed and busy is that I rarely have time to eat real food. My first week, I only ate lunch one day, and that's only because it was provided to us during a meeting we had from 10-2. I brought a frozen dinner, but it's been sitting in the freezer at work since my first day. I need to start making sure I have time to eat something every day because by the time I leave work, I realize how hungry I am and either stop for fast food or eat entirely too much at home before dinner.

Happy Sunday everyone!

So anyway that was my reward to myself.
