  • I have never been able to run...even when I was younger because I had asthma. Here lately I have been going to the track almost daily walking at a pretty good pace. Today I actually jogged Not for very long, but I did it I would jog for awhile and then go back to a walk just long enough to catch my breath and then jog again ect...I guess from when I was little I never thought I could. I always kinda freaked out when I couldn't breathe. It felt good to push myself. I look forward to the day I can do it all the way around the track...
  • Way to go - I love pushing my body and actually having it respond (rather than, well, collapsing!) - you must feel great. You'll be running non-stop before you know it!
  • way to go!

i remember when i first broke into a "trot". at first i thought i was mad, but the feeling is overwhelming. such a freedom.
  • way to go that has to be sooo exciting, jogging is one of my goals.
  • Jessie - that is how I was. I also had the same stubborn body parts that no matter how much I did the eliptical the fat would not budge. I started doing to couch to 5k program on coolrunning.com and it is awesome. I am toning up now in those long awaited areas! Not to mention that the program makes it challenging yet easy enough you don't want to give up. I get that "Oh my god did I reallyl just do that" high after every workout. Maybe you should give it a try. Congrats on your NSV! Here is to many more.

  • I love that feeling!! Way to go for trying something you didn't think you could do.. and doing it! And feeling great about it!!
I think jogging has given me more self confidence than anything else, because like you, I never did it or thought I could do it.
  • WTG Jesse! Jogging is one of my goals, too.
  • WTG! Congrats!
  • Thank you It feels so good...
