I have to say here...and I am TOTALLY not trying to be rude, or unsupportive at all, really I am not-but your Fitday and what I am reading in it is pretty BAD. I will give you a big hug-because you aren't going to like what I have to say about it...but you wanted advice, and you wanted to know why you are having problems.
In one day's plan you had approximately 1300 calories. Approximately 700 calories of that was ALCOHOL. Approximately 200 calories of that day was two different kinds of juices...which I am *assuming* were the mixers. Holy cow-900 calories a day in booze/mixer...and 400 calories of that day in FOOD.
You know, they say a calorie is a calorie is a calorie-but your body is beign STARVED. Literally.
You are eating a ton of processed foods-and most of the carbs/starches that you eat in your diet are WHITE REFINED carbs-pretzels, white bread, etc. and not whole grains. Your "fruit" servings tend to be juices that are mixed with alcohol. Everyone is saying that you take in a lot os sodium, which is totally true-but you are pretty much taking in a lot of "crap" in general-you are not eating a healthy diet at all.
A calorie is a calorie-but your body also has nutritional requirements-and you are NOT meeting them. If you think of your body as a machine-what you are doing to it is like trying to run a car on Kool-Aid instead of gasoline...or trying to run your television on corn syrup instead of electricity. Your body needs certain elements to run properly...and you are not giving it to your body. You may be eating a lower calorie diet-but your body is starving.
First of all-your body needs fiber. Fiber comes from fruit, vegetables, and WHOLE grains-not refined ones.
Secondly-your body needs protein to keep muscle, and to gain muscle. Without protein, your body when you lose weight is going to LOSE muscle because it isn't getting it. A bit of sushi or a few slices of processed cold cuts now and then isn't doing it. How about some lean chicken breast now and then? Some yogurt or cottage cheese?
Your body also needs the vitamins and properties in fruits and vegetables. Taking a multivitamin does not make up for not eating them-because there are properties such as antioxidants, phytochemicals, and fiber in them that taking a vitamin does not make up for.
We should be eating about 5 servings of fruits/veggies per day MINIMUM. Fruits and veggies reduce the risks of so many diseases and cancers-they really, really do. Every day.
Why the recent "low carb" phase over the past few years? Because so many people eat too many, and are addicted to, refined carbs. White bread, processed cereals, donuts, cookies, white rice...blah, blah, blah. Carbs in general are not bad for you-if you are eating healthy ones. Refined carbs are not good for you-and if you are consuming a lot of foods like pretzels, white bread, and so forth-you are basically eating empty calories.
Your diet needs a total revamping. It really, really does.
You are going to have to realize this-and either choose to do something about it, or not to. Eating low calorie does not automatically mean "healthy" and being skinny also does not mean "healthy" either. (I know a lot of skinny chicks who smoke, drink, don't exercise, and rarely eat...)
They may be skinny-but in 20 years I am going to look a heck of a lot younger because their lifestyle is going to take a toll on their looks and health.
You ever notice how some women can be in their 40's or early 50's and they look "rough", while other women are 65 and absolutely glowing and gorgeous? It isn't so much about just their weight...it is about how they took care of themselves.
My high school best friend is a prime example of this. I became healthy after we got out of school, got married and settled down, committed myself to exercise (even became a dancer and dance instructor!) and made a lifestyle of healthy habits.
She stayed single, spent a lot of the past 10 years in smoky bars (terrible for your skin!), smoked, drank heavily at times, ate a poor diet...and right now I look about 10 years younger than she does. Seriously. Everything from the condition to her skin and hair to our overall energy level.
Start taking better care of yourself...and you will start seeing better results.
