  • Does anyone want to buddy up?
I could really use the extra person/people to talk to during the week.
Some one to give/ receive inspiration.
  • SORRRY!
My pc is acting crazy; it was slow so i just kept pushing send...
    OOPPPS
  • LOL, that is something I would do! I would love to buddy up. I am doing WW points at home; just had surgery 5 weeks ago and have done okay with watching my points. I went to my sister in laws house this weekend and we ate junk and played cards so the scale showed a 4 pound gain from last Thursday- I had gotten down to 247, but now am 251. I also did not drink my water like I should have- too many sodas and wine. Are you attending WW meetings?

  • Hi Martha
I dont attend meeting; I wish I had the extra cash to; but dont.
You sound a lot like me; I have good intentions but sometimes dont follow threw. But I intend to this time! I really need this change in my life!
Since my mother died I have really lost all control of my life! And overeating is ONE MAJOR problem.

    Today I have done well.
    Well, this morning anyways.
BREAKFAST-I had a bowl of cereal (special K strawberry) and 1 cup of whole milk.
LUNCH- I will have a salad with cheese .
    DINNER- ha vent decided yet.
  • Hi Queen
I have done well today also:
    Bkfst- instant oatmeal and apple
Lunch- I made chicken salad- I had to weigh all the chicken and count all the ingredients and then measure the end result to get the points per serving- it ended up being 3 pts per 1/2 cup. I also like the Nature's own wheat bread with double fiber it is 1 pt for 2 slices.
I also hadn't decided supper yet- I have some Mahi Mahi in the freezer but that means that I'll have to do something different for my hubby- he doesn't like fish.
The WW meetings in our area conflict with my schedule, so I decided to use the money to join Shape Express. It is a circuit gym with cardio and classes and free weights and also has the dry heat saunas- that is the reward I get after the workouts.
I really feel like I can do this... I told my husband that I have succeeded in so many things in my life, but cannot get a grasp of my eating. I have stopped eating out as much and got rid of the sodas- I also only limit myself to one diet soda a day and most days now I don't even get that one. I just drink water. I do have to have my icecream- but I found the Publix brand light icecream is 3 pts per 1/2 cup and it is so good, it doesn't taste light.
Hope you have a good rest of the day, if you want to PM me, I will get an email notification and we can keep in touch that way also. Good luck!

  • hey chocolate ill be your buddy i could use the same help and i just restarted today i must do it this time!
  • All right ! We have a 3 way buddy system! Sounds GREAT.

Martha- i really know what you mean about getting control! Sometimes I feel like my life revolves around it! When I did strict diets I would become OBSESSED with food; AKA the food I COULDNT HAVE!
I also dont drink to much diet soda; I dont even buy it anymore!
But if we eat out I will have it.

My husband has TRULY been supportive; we works long days and after dinner we go for walks. Today we did a mile. I think that will be the furthest I will walk! His support really helps immensely.

    andreaphilip3- Glad to have another buddy;

maybe we can all pm each other and send encouraging e-cards to each other?
  • Sounds great! Glad you had a great day. I stayed within points today, didn't have to borrow any from my weekly flex points. That is great that your husband is supportive. Mine also, he often has a hard time with giving me that push I need for motivation because he was overweight as a teenager and got a lot of ridicule; he never wants me to feel that he has a problem with my weight. But he supports anything I try and doesn't try to tempt me.
I ended up eating cabbage for supper; I cooked it with half of a smoked turkey wing- yum! So it was 4 points for a huge bowl. The 4 oz of turkey was all that I had to count.
Andrea- hope your day went well today.
Have a wonderful night, hope to hear from you all tomorrow.
    PM me if you can.
  • Looking for someone too! I have been knew to this site for about three weeks and have been back on WW for the same. I think we all need to have that support system . There has been a great thread on here with ladies posting what they have eaten for the day and what the points are. That really helps me to get ideas of what I can eat since I don't go to the meetings either. I haven't done WW in 9 yrs so I can't remember the points system, does anyone know of a website that might give me clue?
  • welcome not 2!
    hey choco and martha!
sounds like we all did great! heres to another day....cheers!!
  • I would love to buddy up. I totally can understand life getting and going out of control. My son was born 3 months premature and he spent the first year of his life in the hospital and came home on a ventilator. He is now off, but has a lot of health issues. So I understand stress.

I hope I can be a comfort as well as a buddy.
