Sandi hunted me down this week wondering where I have been. Part of it's been I've not been on plan like I should but most of my non posting is because I have went back to work and have a new schedule. I work Noon to 8:30 now. So I used to work 4 to Midnight and post in the morning before I would go to work but now by the time I get my walk in and get ready for work there is no time. And at night I have just not been getting online much. Then there is the weather. It's been beautiful lately so we have been outside a lot.

So I have a bunch of excuses as you see. None of them good enough to keep me from making the time to be here and get and receive support. So I will try and be around a little more. I see there are lots of new faces and I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Howie -- Been wondering how you and Kimberley are doing, especially after the surgery. Actually, I've been thinking alot about maintenance lately, and how to maintain a large loss in the face of the inevitable challenges life presents us.

My life is fairly stable right now, and I could see maintaining being a reasonable proposition if everything stays the way it is. But this is life, right? And stuff happens. So, how do you maintain when life circumstances change -- like having major surgery?

Anyway, just a little something I've been thinking about... so far I've got no good answers...

It's good to see you and Kimberley back here posting. I've been a 'lurker' here for a long time. I don't post much, but I check the board every day. Your posts are always such an encouragement. I'm so glad you're recovering well from the back surgery..been there, done that!

Glad to see you back Howie ~ Kimberly too. We've missed you. We'll forgive you though for spending time outside when it is beautiful ~ that is a good reason for not being on line.

I was just thinking about you and your good lady wife today when I was on the treadmill at the gym and wondering if you two were ok. I know about the whole internet thing. When the weather is good I just want to make the most of it!!!

Glad you're doing ok and are back at work. I think about you two often. Alot of my work is checking out instrumentation used in back surgery, and every time I ask a consultant the question, I have a vision of the two skeletons playing xylophone, that you had posted on your website!!!

Hey there!!! so nice to see you back!!!

Well it's good to be back all though I was always lurking just not posting much. As for the maintaining question. I've not been doing maintenance the way I would want to. Basically I've been eating bad off and on and when I gain ten pounds then I take it back off. When I do go into my real maintenance I want it to be a healthy balanced diet and maintain a weight naturally. So all though I have been maintaining I would not recommended how I have been doing it.

Thanks for all the kind words. It always amazes me to here people say my post mean so much. I have always just tried to be honest and real with everyone. I'm glad my post help.

It looks to me like you two and I were missing in action at the same time...so I never had the misfortune to worry terribly!

I'm glad we're all back...and with all you've been through this past while, it's completely understandable that a temporary rearrangement of priorities was in order (exactly the same position I am/was in, with getting my Mom through all this crap)

I'm so glad we're all back, and have missed you and Kimberley very much
