Motivation - thanks for the picture - its a great picture. I am not good at taking good pictures. Sounds like your week is getting better. I think I might have inhaled the entire pizza after only seeing vegetables all week, I am not a big vegetable eater, but I am working on that.

Lara - hope you are doing good. I used to have a trail to the bathroom, but I did not mind, I just considered it a part of the pregnancy. You are taking such a good attitude about it, which is great, lots of people just complain about it, but look at what you are getting - a little miracle. Good luck this week.

Wendy - glad you are doing good and getting back to schedule. Hopefully Brandon will outgrow some of the allergies. Did they put him on medicine or not? My husband had lots of allergies out grew most of them, and now just takes one allergy pill, he use to have to do the shot thing weekly - yuck, I am glad I did not have them like that. Hope all goes well with you this week.

Looks as though I have been slacking this week with the replies! Hope you are all having a great week! Congratulations on all the losses and those of you who gained, you'll get it off in no time! I have faith in you!

I had a 3 1/4 lb. loss on Monday! I was so pumped! I was runner up behind a lady who lost a great deal, 9 lbs! Bless her heart! She has been going through chemo treatments and still coming to TOPS! I think she said the 9 lb loss was from the water weight from her medication.

I have a question and I hope someone can help me. There is a person that had a stomach staple surgery in our group and is losing a lot. She hasn't told the leaders though. Each week she's losing 3-5 lbs. and is the top loser. (Exept this week, she wasn't there)! Shouldn't she be in a different catagory or something? It doesn't seem fair to me when the rest of us are losing the old fashioned way. She doesn't know that I know, I heard from someone who is a friend of a friend. Any thoughts?

Shelli... From what I understand, it used to be that you couldn't participate in the contests if you had stomach stapling or were taking weight loss pills or some other type of intervention. Howerver, those rules have changed and they don't disqualify you for these things anymore. We have a woman in our group who has had stomach surgery too, and while she lost a lot right at the beginning it has slowed down for her and probably will for the woman in your group as well.

This surgery helps physically as you get full faster, but it doesn't help with the emotional part of being overweight. If you feel strongly about it you might want to ask her about it... but unless you ask her or the leader you can't know for sure that they haven't discussed it. They may have decided to keep it private for some reason or another.


Angie... thanks for the well wishes, so far today I've only had the dry heaves, everything has managed to stay down. And I'm feeling great if a bit tired.


Eleni... sorry you aren't feeling the best... hope your recovery is speedy from this nasty bug you have.

Congrats on the turtle. I know it isn't a loss but at least you didn't gain. That is a great thing also. We have to take all the positives we can get. Don't be down on yourself. It could be muscle or your weight adjusting. You will have a loss this week.

Are you feeling any better? How did you make out at weigh in tonight? I know you went even though you didn't feel up to it. That is dedication. Keep going forward and you will be heading in the right direction. You can do this. What did the doctor say today? Was he as mad as what you thought he was going to be? Let me know. Keep smiling and it won't be long and I will be down there to give you a kick in the butt to get you moving.LOL

Don't worry about the morning sickness it will pass. I only got sick when I didn't eat breakfast. I threw up every time. I learned to eat breakfast after awhile. That lasted up to my 7th month. So hang in there and remember it is all worth it in the end. That is great that you are still going to go to tops. That will keep you eating healthy so you don't gain extra weight on top of the baby. Keep up the good work and the sickness will pass shortly.

How are you doing? You said hi but didn't mention how everything was going.

Donna I know you are out there lurking. HI to you and you can move in the right direction to. Just put one foot in front of the other. We can all do this together.

I had a good weigh in tonight myself. I lost 1/4 lb.. I was happy with that because I exercised a lot this week and know that most of it was muscle. I was hoping to tone quickly for my trip. My pants are fitting looser this week. But I am going to stop doing the buns of steal but maybe one day a week and stick with the step excerses and the standing routine I do. I was losing with that and I am going back to it. Doing the buns of steal is building muscles and it isn't allowing me to lose the weight. I know it is a good thing to tone up as well. But I want the scale to go down. So I will do the aerobics only with one day of the buns of steal to keep me toning.

I am off plan tomorrow. I worked late tonight so that I wouldn't have to work tomorrow and I could enjoy my pool with my daughter. I have been very busy working and planning my trip that I haven't had any time to spend with her. So it was worth it to be up late tonight to have the time with her tomorrow. I only have an hour left to put in for my time this week and I can do that while she naps tomorrow. But I don't have to be tied up all day working.

Have a great friday everyone and I hope to have a bigger loss next week. It will be my last weigh in next week until I get back from visiting eleni.

I am back on track on saturday and I plan to have lower points this week. I didn't have to take a dexatrim today. My hunger is under control once again. So that makes it easier to stick with my plan.

I am so glad to hear that you turtled. You are doing great and you are on the right track again also. You can do this and so can I. I want to make it to goal by the end of the year. I have to work hard at this to make it.

Then again, you're right: the surgery does not help with the emotional aspect of overeating.

My Thursday was allright. I had some pizza, which was nice, since I haven't eaten well all week. I also had half of a chocolate bar.

I don't feel too badly about it though because it was a concious choice. I don't feel like the food had control over me -- I wanted some chocolate, so I had some. I didn't eat three chocolate bars, like I used to. My boyfriend and I just split a Dove bar (we say "I Dove you" to each other, so it's kind of an in joke)
