Many recipes called for a certain number of oz of juice, milk, or other product. How many fluid ounces are in a cup ?

Also, what is the corresponding weight for ounces ? How many grams to the ounce ? Or how many ounces in a lb ?

16 ounces = 2 cups = 1 pint
32 ounces = 2 pints = 1 quart
128 ounces = 4 quarts = 1 gallon

Dry
1 ounce = 28.35 grams
16 ounces = 1 pound

In metric 250 ml is just over U. S. 1 cup

4 tabl. = 1/4 cup
8 tabl. = 1/2 cup
16 tabl. = 1 cup

On the scales

1 ounce = 25 grams or a little over 25
2 ounces = 55 grams
3 ounces = 80 grams
4 ounces = 110 grams
5 ounces = 140 grams
6 ounces = 170 grams
7 ounces = 195 grams
8 ounces = 230 grams
16 ounces = 460 grams
