trying to get back into shape after my baby

  • I was on this site a couple of years ago but lost track of things. I never really had a problem w/ my weight until 3 years ago when I quit smoking. I gained 30 pounds. Then I got pregnant and 6 months ago gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Now along w/ my sweet baby I also got another 15 pounds on my butt!! The problem is I'm breastfeeding so I really have to be careful limiting my calories. I've been trying to cut out sweets. But they are my biggest downfall along w/ carbs. I did start w/ a personal trainer who is great!! I've been working w/ him for almost 2 weeks now. I just need help keeping motivated because I get too down on myself. Then I give up. But I have to do it this time. Anyone need a buddy?
  • Sounds like we have about the same attitude about the extra cushion for our chairs. I wish I had a personal trainer but the nearest gymjim is 30 miles away. I know another excuse. See I need a buddy bad. Feel like I am advertiseing for a car lol. I almost wish my daughter was a lttle older it would make it easier to get out . I even have a bike but she cant push peddles yet the poor thing. lol another excuse. Anyway today I am cutting portions and carbs and calories. I dont know if that is a specific diet but I dont feel like doin all the jaz of these fad diets out there. The simpler the better. I have already been doin this with eatin healthy like sprouting and grinding my own flour and such but lately I have been indulging since the holidays. And now I am gettin mad cause since my last doc visit I have gained 6 lbs.
