I lost a pant size!

  • Hi! I'm new here...my name is Penelope, and you can read more about me on my profile.
A couple of days ago, I discovered that I went from a size 7 to a size 5! The only problem is...they still don't really make pants for my body (long torso, short legs) or as low-rise as I need them. If they don't sit right on my hips (not even an inch higher), they don't fit properly. I'm returning a pair of jeans I bought at Garage tomorrow and going to Thrifty's, because that's where I found my favorite pair of size 7's.
I started adopting a "healthy lifestyle" around the beginning of January (New Years resolution! lol). I don't call it a diet, because I've never been on a pre-planned diet...I make up my own rules as I go along, according to what works for me. Right now, I'm a vegetarian (I only eat fish and seafood), and what I eat is about 25% low-fat items and 75% fresh, natural foods. I don't eat or drink any "empty calories" and I decided that as of today I'm cutting bread and pasta out of my diet for awhile...just to see if it helps me lose some stubborn chub around my belly & thighs.
For exercise...I do alot of walking, and I recently started doing some basic Pilates.
I look forward to meeting all of you....I've already read a bunch of your stories, and I found them really inspiring. You're an amazing bunch!
  • Congrats on your weight loss!

  • thank you to everyone for their replies My biggest frustration right now is not being able to weigh myself (I don't have a bathroom scale) to see if I've gone down any further! Oh well...lol
